Some folks live outside Florida so this may be new to them. In today's Tampa Bay Times rag newspaper there is an article about the widow of deceased TPD retired Sergeant David Jackson. The short of it is that when a widow or widower is NOT a party to the mortgage loan (didn't sign it), even though they may be on the deed, the mortgage company may not want to rewrite the mortgage upon the death of the one who signed the mortgage. In this case the widow lost her home. We all should have some end of life plans and this is one item that could easily be overlooked.
