Today had been a crazy day. First thing in the morning, she saved an imbecile from the icy clutches of death over the frosted top of the lake… his gratitude was less than she’d expected, but the ess paid no mind to it. Her quiet self gave way to a sharp, pointed spear and she had snapped at him, prodding him in the side with that knife-like mask of hers, and telling him to not do idiotic things for a rush. Most likely he was not expecting to fall in, but he did, and Kohaku had nearly fell in herself in the process of getting the brute out. Her nonchalant look had fallen back into place as she skirted away from him, taking to small stream beds where she found herself meandering near to the area where her sire and her dam had met. The details of such an event had run through her head as she padded inside, searching for any other sign of life before she was to seek her own solitude and peace of mind… but that idea had been ruined nearly instantly. Some orange eyed male had been in the shadows… and she, curious yet withdrawn at the same time, had conversed with him. Again, the information gathered there was sketchy. The boy had been quiet. Almost too quiet and Kohaku’s pale fur tingled with a small sensation of interest. That chest held many unseen treasure, though she was sure that most of the gold coins within were cursed with the blood of Wolfbane…

Now, as she headed away from her last destination, she let her sides rise and allowed a small exhaled sigh to escape her chilled lips. Blood King was the one she had just encountered. Seeking, yet again, her own quiet company, she had travelled back towards a small stream that was covered with traces of ice. The bubbles underneath told her that oxygen was trapped, and, following her head, she had made her way to Staircase Falls. As delicate as a fawn, the valkyrie had stepped into the open, quenching her thirst and numbing her flesh to the frostbite that was sure to set in. Turning around, he had, in a way, surprised the golden eyed lady and his charm was hardly anywhere near to remarkable. Maybe it was just the way Koh had been raised… or perhaps she had been spending too much time around the blood and soot colored trickster with sapphire eyes. Her gaze turning, she altered her direction slightly and travelled closer to the river that led down from the Falls. She’d escaped his company by doing what she had not wanted to do, splash through the frigid water and end up on the other side, letting the ice crystals cling onto her pelt instead of shaking them off and risking a nice freezing gust through her insulated pelt. Now, her ivory teeth snapped together when she found that the answer to her inner inquiry was most likely the latter explanation. It did not bother the vampress that she spent most of her time inside Malignant, wandering around like some ghost whose body had been stolen from her. But, seeing as she had never been to most of the places in Blossom, the ess had had a rumbling in her stomach for an adventure of some sort. Finding others that had their own mysteries to them had soothed that ache… and it did not bother her that they were all males that she’d come across. Kohaku detested the idea of spending time with another female. The only one’s she’d ever come in contact with had been bickering about some useless topics that hardly meant anything in the way of life. These little spats nearly drove the miss up the wall. And for her coming across the opposite sex for the majority of the day… she was grateful.

She was nearing the ever approaching scent of Malignant’s borders when she found another stench that drew her gaze, though she wished in vain that she did not recognize it. An internal struggle within the mistress had been taking place for a short while now. And, to clear her ever thoughtful mind of it, she had managed to occupy herself with different things. Stalking hares to the extent of seeming obsessed with little fluffy cottontails, sitting under a conifer for hours on end, just staring into space… reminiscing over her past… and she had managed to lose interest in the topic tugging at her organs. How cruel it is to find that all that work can be wasted with just one measly musk. She paused for a moment, wise eyes staring straight forward. In front of her was the home she’d pushed herself into. And to her right, on the other side of the banks (nearly covered by the neutral smell of the liquid), was yet another czar’s cologne. Her mature head told her to keep going forward. Don’t stop to smell the roses. But… pheromones tend to get in the way of many things… and soon, she was following her steps back up river, raising her nape and opening her mug to inhale the sickly scent of the demon’s trail. He was not that hard to find, actually. And the sight makes the inner Kohaku want to crack a smile. Instead, the fae merely raised an unseen brow in his direction. She did not stop moving though. She weaved her way in between others who were too blind with lust to acknowledge her solitary presence. If anyone tried to approach her, she would merely smile and keep moving, leaving them to themselves, very clearly disinterested in their unrequited affections. They made her sick… to think that they approached one another based on fur color and appearance.

Suns slipped to the ground as Kohaku discreetly followed his every move. She had found it curious that he had not approached any soul, though there was a plentiful amount of attention from desperate whores who followed his movements with their eyes just as Kohaku now did with her legs. Pillar movements find cadence with his own, stepping and raising off the terra firma, drawing them both farther away from the vein-like crowds of others of their kind. Had he seen her yet? An amused twinkle flashed through her golden orbs, and her orange splotch bobbed as she moved, passing by many a femme and brujo, ignoring their twisted minds and continuing after him. Soon the whole playing field was vacant, abandoned, save for the tracks of different Lera on the tundra, encased in a slowly melting snow. Kohaku was no fool. She had fallen back into place behind the foliage that stayed green throughout each and every season a long while back after escaping the crowds… these ferns—in summer they would dry and turn brown, a certain omen of death. To live through the winter… survive frosts, live through deer nibbling on them… and yet die in summer? What hypocritical plants… Her breath stayed soft, humble, unchanged as he lowered his rear and rolled back his shoulders. A small smirk caressed the ebon lined lips of the doe, and she stepped from her white veil, into clear view of the vampire. She did not make eye contact with him until she herself was seated across the river, rolling her shoulders back just as he had done. Then, her passionless optics flashed with a dare. Move. The light filtered out of them once more… emotionless.

Maybe such brave actions ran in the family. Kohaku’s movements so far, although silky and smooth just as her mother’s had been, were not open. A bird with feathers drawn in. Not displayed for some lucky bachelor to come and gawk at. Hidden, as if gracing homage to a secret. It was all up to Nikandros now.

ooc: oshitman. ;) let’s play follow the leader! :D;; lololol e-e Scarface courted Jeanne by “dancing” with her… mirroring each movement she made until they were both at a standstill… what is Kohaku thinking? Is she suggesting that she is interested in the prince of Malignant’s attention? Find out next time on kiki’s ooc note! :D ;; /struggles to keep in laughter. Maybe. <3 but kiki’s gonna be a cold hearted freak. ;P e-e sorry. super hyper. it turned out kinda cheesy.
