Magic concentrated her auds on the brutes words. He had seen hints of the day, but never had truly been awake when the hot sun was lighting up the world in light much, much too bright. "Well, the morning is coming," she said as the rim of the sun broke behind the horizon. "Maybe we could see the day together. Travel somewhere special where the sun reflects off rocks, flowers, water, even shine through the darkest of places. Would you like that? To see the world of day with me?" She thought about her question for a moment. She knew there was a difference between daylight and starlight. Daylight was a harsher onslaught while starlight brought the softest of lights. She smiled at is words; they were engraved in her and she would never forget them. "A brute such as yourself could possibly beat the persistant illusion of being blind. Maybe, if you could find a way to beat such a power, which I know you could, you could help me. Would you like to see what the day was to offer? Be blind with me?"

Her heart flinched at the thought of being blind. She knew a wolf who had been almost comepletly been blind. And was it a coincidence it had been her first lover? Probably not. Magic didn't believe in coincidence. But it wasn't a coincidence either that this wolf had crossed her path. Everything happens for a reason. Fate brings it upon you. She turned towards the east, watching as the sun's rays grew bigger and bigger. Shadow would have to hurry if he wanted to make a choice, because if he waited any longer, there ould be no choice to stay behind, because the sun would have already broken from the horizon and he would be swamped in rays of light.

She sat on the ground, eyes still looking towards the horizon, amber globes examining the terrain. She had not even noticed that the ground was a pale brown. "I never noticed tht the world looked different when the sun shined," muttered Magic. She turned around, her black pelt beginning to soak up sunlight. She tilted her head around to face Shadow. "Would you like to be blind with me?" she asked. She waited as Shadow thought about his answer
