Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

but I won't let this world wipe me out

Things had begun to progress; Isola had initiated the formation of her pack alongside her mate, Kane and whereas Malina was mildly enthused, it did not trump her curiosity in the other packs. She had scouted around the new world in search, turning each and every stone she could; if the Angel King had taught her anything, it was that it was important to know everything that was happening. From who was where to who was who, it was detrimental that she knew these things. Already she had uncovered the fact that Tobias had (unfortunately) not perished in the hell fire, and that he was indeed still very much attached to her Master's daughter. Such a fact was... inconvenient to say the least - their attachment to one another made Tobias almost immune. So long as they were together, she could not see a chance to return him to hell - instead, she was forced to occupy her time with other less ambitious escapades. It seemed that new Moladion had not been free of demons for during her excursion around the outer rim of the world, she had uncovered signs of less-than-natural deaths; sights much like Valkyrie's death all those years ago.

She'd not forgotten though, and her discoveries had fueled her desire to bring up the topic once more with her Master - three long years ago, he had sworn to name each and every demon he had not been able to dispatch. She could not help but wonder, though, if he would stand alongside her as they took each one away from the world - after all, he no longer had the burden of being a King did he? Perhaps her ignorance was a good thing - she did not see the lost stare he held at times, nor the impact of age. In her eyes, he was still the beacon of health and of an Assassin. Perhaps it was why so much of her not only wondered but hoped they would uncover each vile creature together. Hell, she'd even tolerate if Ava followed along so long as she didn't try to take the limelight that was so obviously Malina's. Despite it all, though, it was entirely within Heyel's paws at that point in time; he'd said there was much to be done, but who knew? Maybe he had some mundane, drab task to punish her with - catch a fish, get somebody else's fur. That kind of 'much to do.' Curiosity had always been her foe though and despite her day or two away on her scouting patrol, she found herself returning to his usual haunt in search of him.

As the sun rose, so did she; she wasted no time tracking the all too familiar scent of Heyel and as the earth was illuminated gold, she found herself seated patiently - basking, if you will. She'd grown to like the morning sun; she almost reflected gold, illuminated like the very Angel she could only wish she'd truly been born as. In her youth, she'd been scared at times that she'd been cursed with the colour of shadows because of some transgression in her family's past - demon blood, perhaps. But there beneath the sun, her face alight with a near smug grin, she could not understand why she'd ever thought such a thing. There was part of an Angel within her, at least, even if it was just that damn white ear but all the same, she'd been blessed with the ability to slide through the night and shadows undetected. She doubted at times that Heyel or any of his children had ever been able to master such a feat - come full moon, they glowed almost exactly the same whereas she glided by. And as for her size? Hah! Perhaps Azrael and Ava stood over her and doubled in her weight, but she found herself able to spin and twirl like no other - from stationary to a flash of black and white in only seconds. Perhaps Angels had once been mammoths able to crush those that opposed them; perhaps they, too, had glowed like the very sun and moon - but Malina? She was something new. And in a world where demons still found there way into it, it was obvious they needed something they hadn't seen before.

"Expergiscere, expergiscere," she called, her eyes sliding open in search of him. Surely he would not have grown out of his old games - surely he would be perched up above her somewhere, ready to greet the sun, and though she would have loved to reveal his position long before he could pounce on her... well, where was the fun in that? Perhaps she had matured in some regard but she'd always like to pretend that it was her attention he was competing for and not the other way around. "Mundus expectabo te, sed ego non
