Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He had had it all at last. A home and a family to protect who trusted him. A strong leader and friends to laugh with when the day came to a close. The scarred warrior didn't think about the love he had won and lost or about the little life he couldn't save. He didn't think about the pain in his heart and for the first time in many years, he was content. But all good things must come to an end and for the land of wolves, the end came all too quickly. Iblis trotted along the edge of the Midwestern part of the crater looking down into the fast hole that had once been the home to hundreds of wolves. It was like a gapping scar upon the land, an ugly gap that nothing could fill. Over the years, nature had tried to heal the massive wound by covering it will lush green forests, vast plains, even waterfalls. One might call it beautiful if it weren't all smashed together in a deep ditch! Iblis huffed as the thought crossed his mind and he kicked a pebble down the side of the cliff which caused a several rocks to tumble down after it. Funny how something so large can be caused by something so small. It reminded Iblis of the world he had come from. When Illuminada left, a small action, his whole world tumbled around him and everything began to spin out of control. But then he had found Bahamut and the men of Scotavia and everything had calmed down. Only to be thrust into chaos once more.

For two years Iblis, the scarred warrior, wandered on his own as he tried to rebuild his life. For two years he was left alone with his thoughts. For two years, Iblis slowly began to drift towards madness. He was restless, full of anger and sorrow. He was a warrior and warriors fight. Iblis was racked full of scars from the pointless squabbles he had been in but his fur managed to cover most of them. However the three scars on his face from his victory with Atreyu, the white witch, and his torn ear from his fight with Fatality, a lover, were the most notable marks. He wore each scare with pride as the told the story of his life, shared secrets he kept hidden and gave him the look of a true warrior. His little body made him look childish and unable to hold his own in battle, but the scars proved otherwise. Iblis didn't mind his short statue any. What he lacked in size he made up for in speed and courage. A noble and honorable knight was the best way to describe Iblis. But it seemed he had lost his way during the lonely two years, for surely there was no honor to be gained from pointless battles.

The nightly shadows surrounded the tri colored males as he made his way around the cliff. Liquid brown eyes searched them all for any sign of life as his stomach gave a hungry growl. It was like the ugly chasm, a hole that could never be filled. He seemed to always be hungry, always on the hunt, always wanting that fight. But it seemed that tonight was not his night as all the prey had been scared away by someone. It was then that Iblis noticed the scent of another wolf, a female by the smell of it, who had just come by here not too long ago. There was something about her scent that seemed to awaken something within the male and before he knew what he was doing, Iblis' paws were carrying him straight to her. A sudden voice caught in the wind drifted towards Iblis and his ears stood forward. Her voice, there was something dark about it, something not quite right. Again, the pull forced him to continue onwards and all at once she was before him. Like a banshee in the night she stood on the edge of the abyss, laughing.

The goddess of the night was laughing in the face of impending doom. And only her knight could save her. Iblis stared at her, the lush white fur seeming to shimmer in the moonlight and he felt something click within him. There was someone here for him after all, someone who could help him find the path again, someone who could keep him here. She was teetering on the edge and with careful paws he stepped forward and cleared his throat, brown eyes never leaving her. No, he would never leave her, not for anything. If she were to fall, he would be right behind her. She was the one. "My lady," Iblis said, bowing. A knight always bows to his queen.
