The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

I come back to the borders, fresh from brunch in the free lands. I ventured to the lake this time, eager to find a new kind of prey. I found a good group mingled around the water, genders of both sides roaming its edges, talking and laughing. I picked out one maiden in particular, a shy lass who kept off to her self. I approached and made small talk with her before escorting her back to her den. She was a loner so it didn't take long to get there and as I'd suspected, she lived in a secluded little area near the outskirts of the lake, a nice little mound of dirt formed around the roots of a tall oak that she'd dug a cozy little den out of. She was ashamed of it, I could tell, but I told her how brave she was to be out here all alone and how creative she was to dig a den. Painting on a charming smile, I'd decided that I was going to spend the night with her but as the sun's rays peeked through the clouds, I'd hissed and shouldered away from the coming light, knowing what must be done. I'd guarded her den right outside the entrance so I called ot her, telling her there was something she needed to see. The moment she stepped out to look, I dove for her throat and killed her.

Then it was only a matter of dragging her corpse back into the den, which I soon found to be cramped and dank smelling. The lake kept the soil damp all the way out here so it smelled like mildew everywhere. I wrinkled up my nostrils but decided to deal with it, at least for the hours of the day. I drained her while I waited and then spent the rest of the day pacing and sleeping. Once the shadows of a new night came upon the mound, I was off like a racehorse from the gate, racing back to Andere Siete, ready to see what the moonlight would bring.

I soon picked up on a familiar scent, that of Clover. I'd only met her twice, once in the free lands where she was starving. I fed her a leg from a wolf I'd drained and hoped she wouldn't notice but I'm sure she did. She ate it anyway and we spoke for a little while. I had to talk in hushed tones because it seemed like the volume of a regular voice hurt her ears. She must be sensitive. The second time was at the pack meeting where I'd rushed off to get her something to eat once more, finding a plump rabbit for her this time. I'm not usually the helpful kind but something about her made me want to keep her alive, at least a little bit longer. But something about this trail is off, something is different. I follow it and my face melts a little when I find the motionless corpse. More emaciated than ever, it seems Clover has finally found her end. I sniff around the body, only to find that another has moved on not long before me. Curious, I follow the new trail, giving her a look of good luck in the after life before I venture on toward Andere.

I find the younger male sitting off by himself. He looks...well, different. It's not anything about his coat color or his eyes, more his features. Handsome but as if something inside is turned off. He looks toward the sound of approaching paws as if there's nothing there, just more trees and sky. I tilt my head, stopping a few feet away, ice blue gaze searching his. What's your name? Who was Clover to you? Abrupt, maybe, but I don't like to dance around something this important.
