Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

”There is no victory with no loss.”

I waited… The clouds moved slowly in the sky as my eyes focused them for an instant. It was calm and very beautifthiul. Think of other things for some time make me feel better. And to think that I am fixing my mistakes and making the right things again is great! I’m not letting anyone down this time, this is my chance to prove that I am strong and that I can start from the bottom! All is going to be alright. I hope Bluejay comes with me, she gives me strength.

My body is built for fight, I am very strong and big. But I am still agile and fast. I like to train, running among the trees and fighting alone each night. It makes me stronger and faster each day.

Suddenly, I hear a bark coming from behind me. I twisted my head quickly and raised to my paws, making myself ready for anything. A strange male, younger than me. His posture tells me he means no harm and my muscles relax. His head bowing momentarily as he spoke.

- Hello! - I waved my tail back at him as our gaze met.

Well, this is strange. No wolf would be so formal or so… polite. Or maybe I have become unused to such formalities for a long time. I gave the wolf a chance as he spoke for the second time. I was about to reply to him when I heard her sweet voice! My head twisted gently t watch as she approached.

- Blue! My love! I have missed you!

My gaze fell upon her form, just ignoring the male for a second as she came. Her muzzle carried a beautiful smile, a truthful one! She approached and sat by my side, we were pelt to pelt. I looked to the stranger again as she spoke. I nodded, silently agreeing with her words.

- But it is time to reunite, more wolves come to the new lands everyday. In time, we will build our life again.

I nuzzled the top of her head as I finished my words. I waited… I wanted to talk to my Bluejay alone! I really needed to talk to her. I should have chosen a less open place.
