Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

One eye raised slightly as it seemed the multi-hued male became aware of my presence. Honestly, the boy would hardly have made an assassin if it took my physical form to alert him to my being within the area, even so I was willing to allow it to slide, so benevolent am I. Though as for the matter with his ear I found myself somewhat intrigued. After all, I myself am one of the few unfortunate souls to have been given the curse of a –mild- imperfection in the form of my half- destroyed left ear, the appendage a tattered and torn stub of what had once been a perfectly functional apparatus. I allowed my snowy head to tilt a moment, entertained by this odd young male. Indeed, the boy was surely less then half my age although....I could have been hardly older when I had first come to these lands so long ago, before the fall of the sky, before I stepped down from my throne and offered it to my daughter and before I lost my mate. Even the thought stabbed at my chest, toying and jerking even now with a pain still so raw......why did it hurt even now? Two years it had been, two years and yet.....I shook my head, forcing such thoughts away as the other male spoke. Playing? What sort of game was he playing by throwing a fish about? Honestly, even as a child I had never truly understood this game business.

The other male bowed down, paws slapping playfully at the earth as I lifted my eyes in surprise once more. Yes he was young, but he was hardly an infant. I snorted in indignation, hardly willing to admit I had no idea how to begin the game, let alone play it. After all, I was the greatest king this land had ever seen, God of Alphas, lord of packs and it would hardly be appropriate to admit that I didn’t understand his desire. I have never played, I have never understood and indeed I had no wish to make a fool of myself now. Although....I have always enjoyed winning and really, nobody was watching. Violet eyes peered about momentarily, just to assure myself that I was entirely alone, save for my multi-hued companion and his unfortunate ear before I lifted myself to my paws, easing away from his fish tail. Honestly the boy hardly needed to be nervous, even so, I rather appreciate the respect all the same.

“Tell me, how does one win this game you are suggesting? Explain to me first the rules of such a thing and then I will tell you if I want to play. In fact, what do you say we make a little bet, hmmm? If I win you will assign yourself to my service and my pack, if you win, I will show you an entirely more beneficial way of gaining a meal. Deal?”

I grinned easily, chuckle easing from my chest as I stepped back, tail waving a moment, awaiting his answer, violet eyes held against his own.

“It’s Heyel, by the way. Of Diveen or King of all Moladion, depends who you ask.”
