Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Fitch couldn’t tell you why she’d decided to finally follow that little pale eyed freak. Her sister was smaller, clumsier and weaker… stupid girl. Salem was a dreamer, and that was enough to aggravate the realist in the larger creature. The girl knew that her sister had fallen into the world that had created itself here. She’d known too that there was a meteor, one that had enough of an impact to kill… most. Morbid curiosity drew the politician’s favorite daughter through the heart of her world. She had to know if it had taken out the freak that she could only pretend she wasn’t related to.

The graceful creature with the sharp eyes couldn’t help but try and track the scent. Dozens of them filled her head, filled her lungs. Sharp as a tack, this one. None of them mean much of anything. The pale creature is looking for one thing and one thing only. She wants to find that thing and make her life a living hell. It’s always been so easy. Salem was so sensitive about some things. Fitch would have liked a bit more of a challenge with the creature, especially when she kept her head down, eyes averted. Still, she could thrive off the fact that the girl had lived her first year in fear.

And then she’d disappeared. Silly, silly girl to think Fitch wouldn’t come looking. Her strides were long and even, eyes bright. Yes, the pale creature knew exactly what she was doing and why she was here. With grace and poise enough to be lethal, she made her way across the grassy plane. All of her muscles work in perfect time with each other, and the female knows it. Her reach is grand and long. Fitch’s eyes are sharp as she searches for prey. It’s not necessarily that she’s hungry… something to pass the time would be nice, though.
