Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

one by one they passed him by, and not one of them earned a second thought from him. the older, dark male was seated comfortably in the shade of one of the very few trees in the area. youngsters, they all were, save for perhaps a handful. but a handful out of a couple dozen was nothing. cobalt and emerald irises follow the movement, though there is no interest nor curiosity to their gleam. there is nothing but a solid, stoic intelligence and wisdom- a sense of contentment. for that is what the male is. content in all ways: where he is, how he is, how he feels. since his days with the wild gangsters on the tundra, the only dark one compared to his pale and ashen brothers, to his days in the army of abendrot- he had always been content. even now, in this new, unknown land where none were familiar- he was content. he knew life, and he knew it well. he knew war, and he knew it well.

he had taken his fill of the morsels the young'uns now chased before the first had even appeared and caused a ruckus. but he did not particularly mind, nor really care how they acted now. he had gotten his own meal in, and so was content with it. though he did take note of a few other wolves seemingly unwilling to join the fray, hanging back on the outskirts, he paid particular attention to no one. his mismatched gaze wandered seldom, as seldom anything caught his interest. the only thing that it might have returned to was the clear and bright cerulean sky looming above all of them. if anything was of importance to sabre in his life, it was this. for the sky had been the same in all the lands he had been in. the home of his origin, the vast tundra, the territory of abendrot, and now this place, the name of which he did not know.

it was vast, it was immense- it was the same hue of his mothers eyes, who he did not think of often. but when he thought of her, his heart stirred- the only wolf to have ever caused such a reaction out of him, save for perhaps starr. but with the dark coated female it had been different. with his mother, all fair where he was dark- it was something profound. and it was where he had inherited his left eye from, the cobalt being the same as hers. sabre had never been a day dreamer, but as he occasionally gazed upon the sky, he found thoughts of his mother, and, as with everything else- he found contentment in them.
