Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Of course she had. Why wouldn't she have? Youth meant curiosity so it came to no surprise that she had come with him once more. She approached from behind and as she froze, he motioned beside him with a flick of his muzzle and tail - a request to join him if you will. Undoubtedly Azrael's own offers had piked her interest - they piked everybody's interests. There had been one point where he had considered taking the path of the Assassins but ultimately... it was not worth it. A life sworn to loneliness, second hand success and service to others. The Assassins did not walk their own path as Heyel often boasted but rather they walked the same path as their Masters did. Part of him had considered simply allowing her to see such things but it would have been wasted potential; if training was as hard as Azrael made it out to be, then she may very well not survive it at all.

But what did he have that she could not find within Diveen? Perhaps not much at that current point but that was exactly his strength - he had a blank slate. He had a dream and aspiration that would soon be put into motion and when it was complete, he would have so much to offer. A Kingdom ripe for the picking and an Empire to build - he would need the strong, brave and witted to lay the foundations of greatness. Sure, he could recruit any and all wolves but why? He could build strength through choosing only those that were gifted; he did not need numbers as Trenus had certainly had.

Power came in more ways than one.

"The way of the Assassin is a tempting one for all; the promise of ferocity and craftiness. But perhaps it is not what it appears to be - it is isolation, obedience and a life of service," he spoke coolly, his head twisted about to watch her with silent appraisal. He could not give her an Assassin's lifestyle - but what about true fight training? Caligula was a true warrior - strong, straight forward and brutal. They could teach Khaleesi how to incapacitate and conquer rather than sneak about and lunge out from the shadows. "What I have to offer is perhaps not as luxurious sounding and yet, it could get you far. You remember what Azrael said in regards to Iromar? Of the demons that lurk within it, yes? My Caligula and I wish to control them - to fix what my Mother has let run rampant through these lands. But we cannot do this alone..."

He allowed the words to sink in momentarily, a brow raising up expectantly. His tail looped over his paws as he settled into himself, his features falling flatter as the conversation took a more business-like turn.

"We need others to move with us; to keep those beneath us in line and to keep them obedient. There are, indeed, Demons within Iromar - Demons that my Mother has a tight chokehold on. They respect and obey her; when the time comes, one cannot help but wonder if they will do the same for a new Leader, yes? That is where we need you Khaleesi. You are smart and you have fire within you - we need you to listen, to learn and to crush those that dare attempt any form of uprising. An Assassin without the moral code, truly."

Again his amusement overtook him, his ears flattening back slightly and features contorting into a darker grin. The imagery of the young girl fighting off his step-father Vague was an entertaining one at that; of her reminding their Mother of who was the true King and Queen. She would do well - fast, feisty. No wonder Azrael had tried to lure her down the Assassin path but really... he could give her that. They could give her that but she would swear no moral code - a free agent tied to he and Caligula. But he had merely stated what he had wanted - she wanted Success and it seemed, eventually, truer power. Could he give her that? He could damn well try.

"And for you? You spoke of power - of royalty and rank? I can give you that. I can give you a rank but if it is royalty you desire... I can, too, give you that in time. There are plenty of packs out there, my dear Khaleesi, and they are each deserving of a worthy Queen."
