The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

T errel's russet lobes swivelled around to acknowledge Mae’s quiet and soft lyrics, though they were spread in a thoughtful manner and he did not quite understand if they were directed at him or not – was she thinking? “Probably,” he replied in an insecure voice. Although Terrel knew the next words were most defiantly directed at him. He waited a little before answering; his memory was fairly good. He remembered many things from a pup although they would be difficult for anyone to forget. “I guess I have adequate memory,” he said before adding: “sharp as an eagle’s talon.” He smiled with a grin and then proceeded to turn his vivid muzzle towards Mae.

As he was preparing to say something to Mae, his body rammed into a hard rock – or the actual side of the cavern. His expression crossed to disappointment, knowing that they would most defiantly have to turn back. “Oh well off we—“he paused, his optics noticing a large gap in the cavern wall – a tunnel! He unsteadily raised himself to his hind legs and ventured forth, he could not stand completely but with a bent posture it was fine. Although he did not like that way of travelling and so retreated to crawling like a worm. “Come along!” He exclaimed, choruses of echoes following him.

A placid light glowed in the distance and Terrel seemed mesmerised in it. What was it? Was it treasure? Perhaps it was some food? Maybe it was an escape route or the sun? Whatever it was, Terrel wanted it. But the tunnel appeared and surely felt to become smaller – so that it stroked gently across his pelt although it was not soothing nor was it even in the slightest reassuring. Gulping, Terrel pressed on.

His eyes were shut tight as he did not wish to appear to see a monster or a spirit. And then – “FALLING!” his voice alarmed as he dropped down but it ceased once his brain threaded the pieces together. “Oh,” he chuckled, “I’m outside.” His voice was meek and a bit embarrassed. The ground was wet but at least no wind or rain doomed him. He lay in a position as he had fallen – straight on his back with his legs dangling upwards. “So, would you like to head back in or go elsewhere?” He asked with a slight groan. He was defiantly not doing that route again!

His limbs swerved around and soon he was standing once again, although lazily swaying from side to side. Once he was thinking clearly, Terrel could see that his fur had dried out although it had been left unattended and wild with bits of mud caught trap in the jungle of knots. Oh well – he was positive Mae would not be too much better. His body stretched out and his messy banner swayed with a positive influence. Terrel smiled, he always seemed to embarrass himself in front of Mae but he didn’t mind because they always ended up having fun. His optics crossed a piece of dried mud wedged into his pad, so he bent over to groom.
