PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

LEGENDS NEVER DIE

The blue roan mare offers little, and Anath is sucked into her coat pattern for a moment. It’s not so different from that of her father, from that of her brothers. It made her laugh softly to herself, maybe even internally. The broad paint pattern wasn’t so uncommon, but every time she’d seen it there was a little pang in her chest. How she missed them… how she missed them so. They’d meant the world to her, and they’d moved on. Baptist would be… wow. Thirteen now, maybe a little younger. Comfort would be upwards of seventeen, and charming as ever, if she could picture him in her head right. It was a strange thought in her head that they had been so close and now they were so far away.

In the darkness, Anath’s gaze is a bit drawn, green eyes slightly stormy. She aches for them to return and make her life whole once more. She thinks of Tessa too, seeing little bits and pieces of the mare everywhere. Even here, in this stranger, she can compare the gaze… everything is open, laid out on the table. The tone of voice isn’t that much different, the dreamer type. Anath knows them well. You have to be gentle or risk breaking them, and that’s not a mess anyone wants to clean up.

She allows the mare to continue, watching the land more directly than the stranger. She seemed to be alright, so Anath would allow her to continue talking. There was a difference between not hiding and not exactly hiding. So long as she wasn’t harboring Public Enemy #1, everything should be fine. The dun mare’s posture is entirely neutral as the mare speaks, shrugging lightly. Anath has become good at making it look like she’s something she isn’t. There’s smoke and mirrors to the drawn mare when she’s around strangers, before she asserts herself under her identity. Anath worries now that no one will remember her name, will recognize it like they used to. Times change.

“Why would you have to leave?” Anath doesn’t steal a glance. Instead, her gaze remains fixed on the border the Peak shares with the Lagoon. Maybe she’ll see Thane tonight, but she doesn’t really need to hope. If she really wanted to she’d get out and go. It’s not what she needs to be focused on, but her mind drifted. The General has a hard time staying in one mental place at a time. It’s easier to shift a lot… you don’t get too focused.
