Can You Hear the Silence

OOC- this is the most adorable love story I've had with one of my charries... I never thought I'd get Henadin open up, part of the reason he was absent from Blossom Forest for 2 years haha... so where do you want to tell Terrel? When they get back from Abendrot (prisoners are not responding so we might head back soon)? Also... do you want them to mate at some point? They would make adorable babiesss :D (obviously not til after telling Terrel and letting him adjust a long while)

Henadin’s brown orbs had seen the sudden change in the fae just before he had embraced her, and the look upon her face after the fact enforced the words that Channing had uttered previously. She clearly cared about him, and Henadin shifted his gaze to the ground, for he all of a sudden felt as if he was no longer on the ground, as if the earth beneath his feet had shifted. It wasn’t a sinking sort of feeling… no, it was more as if he had stepped off of the edge of a cliff and had not fallen but instead had kept his altitude in the air. Like he was flying. The brute felt like a lovesick puppy, the way that the smile upon his maw would not fade. But why should it fade? Henadin thought to himself. Why should I want it to fade? And Henadin found that he did not want it to fade. He didn’t want the smile the fade, nor did he ever want to leave the fae before him who had somehow snuck into his very soul and stolen his heart.

Henadin’s own grey plume began to sway, and he shifted his gaze to once more look at Channing, a complete feeling of contentment taking over his body. His towers focused upon her as her maw opened to emit words. She had mentioned her adopted son, worrying that he would reject her because of it. But to be honest, Henadin had never had any such experience with the ideology that she spoke of. The pups in his pack had all been his family, and the adults had all been his parents. Truly, his puphood would have been a happy one if it had not had such a tragic ending. “Be the son mine or not, I do not care. If you care about him then so shall I, because…” His gruff voice fell silent again, as his mind searched for words to express what it was that he felt rushing in his veins. Though his inexperience with femmes had left him kind and innocent of malice toward even pups not of his blood, it also had left him with a lack of knowledge in the way of wooing. The sweet words that other brutes would normally utter, the promises that they would make… all of these were unknown to him.

While he silent sought for words to express his feelings, his orbs stayed focused upon her and the smile that lay upon Channing’s maw. The brute suddenly froze as Channing approached him, rubbing her bodice against his as he had just done to her. Electricity ran through his muscles, and Henadin once again had the feeling that his four pads were not upon the ground. Her touch ran like wildfire through his veins, and he knew then that she would be his addiction in life, the one thing that he would always long for, the one lupine he could never get enough off, what would forever be on his mind. Though it had been Kahlan’s idea and her constant pushing that had brought him here, Henadin thought differently. It had been fate that him and his sister should return to Blossom Forest now, and that they had joined the same pack that Channing had already resided in. It had been his destiny to meet her here, and it was now that his soul felt complete, for Channing completed it. She was his soul-mate. The fae remained silent, so Henadin reached out and nuzzled her maw with his, craving her touch. His grey muzzle opened, and his voice came forth, quiet and smooth this time. “…because you have bewitched me, body and soul…
