Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Kahlan’s own hackles raised a bit, her body reacting defensively to the tone and magnitude of the brute’s voice as he yelled at her. She bared her canines a bit, not as a warning, but from the loudness of his voice. Here the pair were, getting ready to present an offer of piece to the Alpha of Bright Moon, and Spark was yelling right outside of the boundary line. The fae felt sympathy for Spark… his childhood also had not been a pleasant one, and she consciously lowered her hackles, not wanting him to feel badly. Suddenly, the brute whimpered, and apologized for his outburst. Kahlan lowered her lips, hiding her pearls once more and opened her maw to reply, her own voice remaining steady and sweet, a much quieter soprano coming forth.

I am so sorry that you have gone through so much. As I told you, I know what it is like to lose friends and family… As for how they treated you as a pup, they must have just misunderstood you. ” A wayward smile worked its way onto her maw, and Kahlan tilted her head a bit. “I promise I will never be scared of you… you have a loud bark, but that won’t make me fear the bite. ” The fae had the urge to comfort Spark, but did not want to startle him by nuzzling him – they were just getting to know each other after all, and it most likely would have been to forward of her to do such. Instead, she continued on with the dialogue. “I’ll introduce you to Henadin when we get back to the pack… I really do think you will get along with him. Most others misunderstand him as they do you, but once you get to know him, he is a good wolf and a loyal friend.” Kahlan hoped that her words comforted the brute in some way. She allowed her honey gaze to remain upon the brute, unafraid. Until Tamlin arrived, she would remain quite content in Spark’s company.

Kahlan wondered if she would be given a ranking for going on this task. She thought perhaps not, considering it was not a dangerous mission, but she hoped that at least the Alphess would trust her a bit more, knowing that she could be relied upon. And that trust, Kahlan though, trust would be good enough for her.
