Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

tonight, my head is spinning;
I NEED SOMETHING TO PICK ME UP

The sound caused him to pause, gaze flicking over the area; then finding the other wolf. Those eyes were riveted to the female wolf, and Covet's lips pulled back from his teeth; curling. A warning snarl rattled from his now blood-soaked throat, and he took a bold step forward and towards her. There weren't many things that made him wary, though it was safe to say two of those things might be threatened now. First, the idea of anyone else getting near his kill or trying to take it from him. This he would not allow. And second? The idea that this news would somehow make it back to his parents. He did not like the idea of that. He did not like it at all. In fact, it was this behavior he had done all he could to hide from them. It was why he'd finally slipped away.

They didn't know, and he did not want them to know. There had been an incident when he was young, when this had all started that his father had seen. The scent of blood had drawn Covet closer to some poor wolf that had been taken down by a harsh kick to the head from a heavy hoof of a pissed off moose. The injury had been fatal, and cause bleeding from the wound. Covet had craved the blood the moment he could smell it, and so he'd set to lapping up what he could of it. When his father caught him doing it, the amount of upset that Cobryn had been made Covet realize it couldn't be something he could allow Cobryn or Enigma to ever see. And since that day, this sort of thing had been kept a closely guarded secret. The idea of having it revealed? Not pleasant.

His body slipped into position -- spine fully aligned from head to tail, shoulders pushed forward -- to give an imposing appearance. He meant business, and he'd stalk and hunt down this female if she seemed like the type to run her mouth. He took another step in the female's direction, hackles raised. "It would be a very bad idea if you were to talk about what you saw just now...." His tone was low, clipped; toxic. Covet was giving her a chance to survive this encounter, because if it wasn't needed; he did not want to waste the energy to take down a healthy female. And he was already quite sated with blood at this time from the corpse he was just short of hovering over. The odds were in her favor so long as she didn't take the wrong step.
