Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

shiver my timbers, shiver my sides
yo ho, heave ho
there are hungers as strong as the wind and tides
yo ho, heave ho

He has heard the call of Diveen, howls sent from the far shore of the river dividing the two kingdoms like a natural line drawn. Come to talk, it said. He turns his head as he stands on the island, looking out at the cliffs of Diveen from his own in Glorall. He turns his gaze to where she would have to be standing to have had her voice reach his patrol, right there where the sea mingled with river and turned the water brackish many stories below. Two birds and one stone was more often used in reference to accomplishing two things at once - a benefit when repercussions were of a kinder sort than the ones already planned by the Pirate King. He had taken his own Uncle off the throne to be within reach of the one who injured him heart and soul and now the second reason for his uprising is asking for audience?

It does not matter whether she can see the white teeth that are bared, surrounded by his pitch pelt. He is silent and turns away. Let her wonder if she liked. Let her question if he heard or if he ignored her. He would come as the invitation was given - but it would not be alone and it would not be an easy conversation. Heir or no heir, weren't the white cloud-headed wolves of that Heyel's pack supposed to have some sort of miraculous assassination team? Weylin snorts, embittered against Diveen a second side. First, rejection - a regular rejection too, if rumor serves - of imprint bonds. The white witch had stolen the only happiness Finley had ever been within grasp of and he had fought Weylin himself for even the suggestion she wouldn't or couldn't see reason. Finley had been so sure she would see that he was the one she should love, could be made whole by.

Kane's father had come, though Weylin barely cares to remember the man's visit. It was as though he sought to see if Weylin held a grudge and before this offense he had been willing to let Finley do what he did best. He would work behind the scenes, be the man she needed despite herself and patiently await her returned affection. Such a mind that was lost in losing Finley and Weylin feels only more spite for the fact that Finley would have heard when the black male had taken the Quicksilver's imprint to mate. He would have seen her swell the child of a man who had not even been there to hold her together on the hilltop of the Outer Rim. Oh he is righteously angry.

Angry, yes, but not so blind or vengeful as Sulan had accused him of with those eyes of loss. He would not come as a friend, but he would not come as an enemy. No matter her many crimes against her own imprint - and their species as she herself put it - he saw her as a means to an end. He would listen and he would keep in mind all that he saw and heard. If Kane was a wise mate, he would not let her meet him alone. If this was then to be a meeting amongst those trusted, he throws up his head and cries out for his people. He gathers in particular the ones who will flank him on this mission.

Selene, Natalya, Ajax, D'Mani, Pan. They will help him in this. Selene to show the poor pale golden queen that he is hiding no more in his rage -- it is plain and clear to her as it was to anyone else. He will not pretend to be a better man for her now, not hide the blackness in him that was put there by Nanruan blood. Natalya because she was death on four paws, because she could be a very large part of this continued mission to end Jaidah's life. Her because she was his Gunner and she was loyal despite the flux in power. Ajax because he was a healer and Weylin would not forgive his own grudges without a exchange. D'mani because in the end he wanted to test her mettle and learn more about the curious woman who had been the swiftest to heed his call when he returned home as king. And Pan.... Pan because he was the dearest of his two remaining adopted kin - brothers. Never again thought as adopted. Because Pan was his brother and he needed wise counsel in the face of such hate, spite, indignation, and anger.
