Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Amatus


The loving kiss that his maiden gracefully planted upon his chocolate kissers sent shivers descending down his spine. He had forgotten how much he missed the tender gestures his princess presented to him. When Yoki answered his enquiry of his purpose here, Amatus let out a chuckle. There is no need for a purpose but it feels like so long since we have shared moments on our own. Still, I see joining a pack has done wonders for you. I am glad I suggested it in the first place.” The rainbow knight replied with his hazel optics enlightened with a sense of amusement. It had been one of the best, or perhaps even his best, decision. Whilst attempting to rejuvenate his love he did have to be constantly worrying about her safety on a hunt. Their pack was secure and was led by a respectable alpha. Worthy in his opinion and with a new start followed with a new alpha which was perfect for him for he had not once taken the time to speak to the previous leaders. They were caught up in family ties, in fact Amatus had never even caught view of the previous alpha male and the previous alpha female had appeared dazed with fatigue.

It had been around a month, Amatus assumed, since he had caught sight of the male who had so tightly stalked him. He had been cautious with Yoki as a loner, making sure she was always safe from harm. Of course, the brute had not once pondered over the idea of seeking him out again. For all he knew, the brute had simply been a scrounger although the uneasiness when Yoki discovered had also produced wariness. It had been the conversation of the first night in Spring Grounds; Yoki had mostly listened while he had shared his concerns and… other topics. This had followed on with a most disturbing tale of Yoki’s past… It had astounded Amatus, about how wolves could commit their selves to such merciless acts. When first discovering Yoki, he had been a naïve (although well meaning.) young brute and now he understood the reality of the world. And he hated it.

And now, he thought about how remarkable a few months of tender loving care could transform someone. His hazel eyes traced her figure in amazement; she no longer appeared as a skeleton but a fully living and functional wolf. Months ago she would not have been capable of raising this far up the cliff. Amatus was no longer questioning the ‘what if’s’ of his life… He had aided someone to their health and by doing so saved them from death. The only ‘if’ remaining in his life was what if he had never dared venture to Blossom Forest? Would she still be alive? Not that it mattered, he had and she was alive. When, after close inspection, Amatus complimented her – his maw raised in a small chuckle as she giggled like a young teenager. ‘You think so?’ - was her enquiry. In answer, the knight nodded and smiled when in return she shared a compliment about him. “Thank you, my lady.” He dipped his head, acting honoured in her presence – as a true knight should.

Amatus soon grew dissatisfied from being so far away from Yoki. His plump frame settled by the female, hairs entwining – different fragrances mingling. He let out a sigh of relief; how brilliant it was that he had Yoki by his side. The warmth they radiated seemed to spread over their bodies and Amatus found himself wondering in Yoki felt like this. Did she love him? He hoped so for he had so much love in his heart that, should she ever leave, may be his death sentence. However, he knew Yoki could never do such a thing.

Yoki, he had noted had changed in personality. Perhaps it was for his show only but Yoki seemed more willing to go places, more happy and free! She was free of her father and the misery he had brought upon her. In a pack, Yoki never had to worry for she was safe; knowing that stranger or friend would come to her aid – as he would.

The view was quite remarkable; through his coffee optics, Amatus could see the wide stretch of pack land. He could see Misty Mountain, he could see Cavern of Secrets, Saw Tooth, Spring Grounds –everything! Yoki’s voice grabbed him from thoughts and he immediately turned all of his attention to her. She revealed that she had not planned in this trip. Amatus smiled, “no matter,” he said, “we’ll just be spontaneous.” Yes – what a brilliant word to describe this… meeting. He grinned and nodded once but the next words also caught him off guard. ‘What am I going to do with you?’ The knight in rainbow fur grinned; hoping he would not come to regret these words: “Anything you want."
