The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

It had been a couple of hours since the brute’s silence had been disrupted by the cowardly femme and he had unwillingly engaged in a conversation. He was more a sufferer in silence wolf, and chose to use as few words as possible. Not because he did not know how to speak or had nothing to say, but simply because he hated wolves. Not all wolves of course, he had once been in love and protected three of his own offspring, but seen as his life was to be a long and hard one he chose to suffer alone. That however was a task in itself. It seemed that wolves here where in the business of annoying aggressive monsters without thinking twice.

Shortly after the conversation had finished, the lad wandered back towards the entrance of the cave. It seemed that just about everywhere was full of wolves and he was going to have a hard time finding somewhere he could rest in peace. Even in the one place he thought he would be safe from naive strangers he was discovered and his peace disturbed. With a slight grumble the devil neared the entrance, if one more animal got in his way they would know about it. He wasn’t in the mood for any more interruptions yet he had a feeling he would not go five minutes without being bothered.

The demon’s thoughts were correct as a stench reached his nares. It was the unmistakable smell of wet dog. Turning his lips up at the stink he turned a sigh escaping from his monstrous jaws. The giant turned to look behind him expecting to see an annoyingly happy stranger stood at his rear, yet when he did eventually turn he found there was no-one in the vicinity. So where was the smell coming from? He paused, intrigued now by what was causing the smell until he heard whimpering. It was becoming louder and softer in a sort of pattern and was coming from the darkness of the cavern.

Being the monster that he was, there was nothing that the lad feared. Not anymore anyway. He may have once feared losing his mate and children but that phobia had long since been buried; along with his family. With the annoying crying growing stronger in his ears the lad let out a short growl. What pathetic animal was making that irritating noise? Sighing heavily the lad followed his auds to the sound of the whining. Whatever wretched coward was making the noise wouldn’t be after he had finished with them.

Although he couldn’t see in the dark, the monster didn’t find it too hard to track down the annoying creature that was making the insulting noise. To his surprise his search led him to a corner in which a tiny pup was curled up. Its wet tail was wrapped around its body in a feeble attempt to keep itself warm. What was a young pup like this doing on its own? Not that Lycaon really cared, but as his rule stated he couldn’t hurt the pup. As he gazed over the pup, his face emotionless and stone cold he half wanted to turn and walk away. He had no need for a pup nor did he want a pup however the noise that was emanating from its mouth was to infuriating to ignore.

Taking a deep breath in the lad opened his jaws. How most other wolves would have tried to be nice to the pup, Ly had no intension of doing so. He didn’t lie to anyone about his personality young or old. “What is that infuriating noise?” The lad’s voice rumbled out of his mouth, although it was somewhat softer than usual. “It is the most annoying sound in the world.”
