Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Okay, so maybe this whole making friends business was a little more tricker than she imagined - then again, how often did she hear other 'friends' debate whether or not rocks could have corners? Or try ridiculous experiments to test battle tactics? Hardly anybody, if anybody at all and that could mean two things - either she and Pan were doing things right or they were both simply atrocious at making comrades. She merely offered him a challenging grin at his mention of a challenge - one she would surely take him up on one day. He'd have to leave the pack one day and when he did, she would very well corner him in the rocks and then see who had the last laugh (Malina, obviously.) She did, however, perk up at the mention of two other females - her head tilted and her brows furrowed if only for a split second before she shrugged it off, swaying slightly in an effort to appear... casual.

"I wouldn't have a clue - females are strange. Perhaps it is some kind of ambush that you are willingly strolling on into."

Yes - ambush. That sounded much better than the probable cause of their following - winter and all that. She didn't know why the prospect of him going off with the other girls bothered her but oh well, she'd have to storm about Diveen as she usually did when some irked her - even if it was such a tiny little agitation. Perhaps Heyel and all the others were under the assumption that she had better learnt to control her tongue but truthfully, she just allowed it to go wild out of hearing range from the others. The week Vague had attacked her, for example, was a week full of shouting and stomping about. Pan would be the next day or two.

At least there was something to take her mind off it all - a rather interesting story, really, and one she would certainly be asking around about. Her head tilted from axis to axis as he spoke - she nodded, too, to confirm her attention as the story continued on. It took a rather... tragic turn though and she found her ears flickering back and her lips tugging into an awkward look of guilt. Surely it was nonsense but then again... Heyel was quite a powerful wolf and honestly, it would not have surprised her to find him hunting down an entire family or summoning the star to fall on them. Still, she did not think such magic existed but she found herself attempting to relate on some level. She had four half siblings out in the world, or so she was told - daughters and sons from her mother's first mate. Two other siblings, too, from her own unknown father - Kaltag and Amugaq, her two wayward brothers who she knew neither to be dead o alive... simply gone. Perhaps the difference was that such things hardly phased Malina. Her family had been herself, her mother and Heyel - that was it and they had all survived. Even her younger brother, Tenshi, was distant to her. Still, she dipped her head in a moment of silence before meeting his gaze with her own pointed stare.

"Well, if it is your family that Heye- er, the Angel King is after... well, I shall stop him. I do... not know loss but I have seen it, so I will make sure such a thing doesn't happen again."

So, she couldn't really just tell Heyel to stop seeing as Pan was safe in that moment with his existence unknown - but she could try! She would keep him safe from a distance if she had to and make sure she never smelt of him, yes! It would be just like hiding Zeivah (who she needed to check on, mind you.) There was one thing she could not protect him from, though, and that was the experiment - she had taken to the air and she had felt the tenderness of his throat between her nose when she had dove for it. She snickered slightly at her apparent success, her front paws jumping in a dance of sorts - her own private victory dance, if you would. Even as he explained and corrected the apparent flaws in her plan, it didn't matter - if it had been a fight to the death, she would have won. Not that thinking of fighting Pan until he was dead was any fun but hey, it was something if not a tiny token of her prowess. Pan's remark on who she could use such a trick on was noted though with a curt nod - so, that pretty much cut out most wolves. Being as narrow as she was did not permit many to be any smaller - she wouldn't be flipping Jaidah or Tobias up into the air at any rate.

"I suppose you got lucky with your proportions; short enough to access the undersides of an opponent while still strong enough to use your strength. Note, also, that while your height exposes your back and top of the neck - that is where our fat and skin is thickest. Seems like nature favors the small, no? Just some, uh, insight though I'm sure you've worked that out..."

She trailed off, shying away slightly when she realised just how off-topic she had become. It was just... exciting to be able to discuss such observations with another. She swung her paw nervously, dragging her nail across the ground before the next experiment was brought up - a race? Instantly her attention diverted back to Pan, her brows furrowed slightly though her lips tugged up into a smirk. A brow rose in query as she stretched back, readying her legs for their little dash.

"A race, huh? Where to and what is this to test? I am most curious though if you'd allow be the honor of being a little cocky, I think it is best if I give you a little head start."
