In the weeks of his rapid development, deep within the safety and warmth of his mother’s womb, consciousness begins to form in his mind slowly. The concept of self-forms unpredictably creating within his hew mind shock for the first time - and almost instantly so does the concept of others. There is another with him – wherever it is he is. Alyx decides the other is his. There is a female voice - if he knew what such a thing was to call it – it envelopes him daily – waking him from every slumber and lulling him into every fitful sleep. Alyx has decided she is his as well. It mattered little that he couldn’t yet see or move very much from within his confines – he is he, they are they, and they are his. Of course whether the boy knew it or not his time in the peaceful oasis was limited and when the time comes he finds himself being thrust into the world against his will. There is one thing that many wolves will learn about Alyx pretty fast once the boy begins to develop and that is that he will never do anything he doesn’t want to. An unknown and unseen force pushes at him from every which way causing him to pull tiny ivory lips in anger. He would leave when he was ready! Alyx fights against the force – struggling to remain where he is.
