Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It had been a few days now since d'Mani had taken her here, helped her out and became possibly her first friend she's had in years. It was such a strange feeling to think another wolf could show so much kindness without a motive, unless she had a hidden one. Although she had yet to actually become a true part of this pack, she enjoyed the beauty of the lands, the comfort of her den that was made for her and all the peaceful feelings that came from not having to look over her shoulder or fear of doing something wrong. The sun was just above the horizon, dawn of the day and Latika had been up to catch a glimpse of it.

The light the shown off the sun made her eyes sparkle and the flecks of gold stood out stronger against her emerald based eyes. The barberry that d'Mani had given her help with her hind limb. the limp was less, though maybe that was from all the rest she had. She could slowly feel her barrier start to falter, slowly the warmth of these lands and the kindness she was shown was chipping away at her fortress bit by bit and this was a good thing.

Still, Latika feared others she did not know and thus the reason she remained only a short distance to her den. She knew it was on the outskirts of the pack itself and unless one was roaming the boarders maybe, just maybe she would go undetected. At the moment Latika only knew that d'Mani knew she was here. Deep down that would be a foolish thought. If she learned anything from her past it was that there were always eyes and ears around the pack lands.
