During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

He wasn’t surprised at the Alpha’s dangerous reaction and Exodus had expected as much. If it had come down to a fight, he would have fought a great one. If he won, he wouldn’t have taken the Alpha position. Even though he would make a strong leader, Exodus couldn’t care less of the pack members and such. If he had lost, he would have walked away, head high and respecting the evenly matched being before him. The shock did come when Serris lowered his own self to the ground, causing Exodus to raise a brow. If he were to launch now, the king would be destroyed. Still though, Serris’ head was held high. Exodus respected the gentleman and even though he was shocked, he stilled and listened intently. Exodus flattened his ears at some parts of his speech, raised his head at others and narrowed his eyes at many. What sort of game was this? Still, Exodus listened before speaking again. He thought greatly about the words that he would say. They would be truthful, make sense and hopefully, Serris wouldn’t think of him as such a weakling. Finally, Serris silenced and Exodus snorted.

“I honestly don’t care what your reputation is or what you did to gain the title ‘king’.” His low voice held venom as he said the word king It didn’t matter to him, it was a title, nothing more, nothing less. “You are the leader of this land, Serris. Therefore, even a dangerous creature like me is to submit respectfully. I did not grovel. Yes, it was a clumsy act for I have not once, in my entire lifetime, done so, but it was done because it had to be done. If I wanted your pack I would have approached you differently, and we would have fought to the end. I do not want it though, I merely want to be a part of it. I don’t care that no one’s challenged you, that your voice is deep or about your reputation. I don’t have the answer as to why that is. All I know and care about is that you are king of this land and thus, I must respect you and your wishes, whether I like it or not.” He lowered his dark cranium and quieted. He had said all he needed to say. He was thinking about something more important on his mind.

His sister was somewhere near here and soon, he would find her. If Serris did not let him enter that pack, he would still find her somehow. Another thing that upset him and flooded his mind was the fact that he could smell the scent of another male in her direction. He wanted to race there, find this male and rip his throat out. Instead, he was sitting here calmly, watching the dark brute before him with interest.
