Her crimson fur mixed with his and created a beautiful collision of the throbbing of hearts—he inhaled sharply and relished in the fact that she had instigated the move. His swan dove her cranial into his chest cavity and he felt his heart speed up. She most likely could hear the pulse pound underneath his thick mane. His emerald portals narrowed gently and he rested his chin atop her dial protectively. The feeling that surged through his bodice now was almost animalistic, a type of feeling that let it be known to him that he would take no shit from anyone should they degrade this one. However, his heartstrings snapped when she pulled away. Like a magnet, he followed her movements until he needed to step forward. He was leaning towards her. She was his sun, and he was being pulled into her. His pride took quite a beating when she spoke her words, however. Axel had not professed love as often as he had with Pandora. In fact, she was the only one he had ever truly been possessive about. Possessive to the point of being obsessive. Did she not believe him to be speaking the truth? The warboy felt a rumbling in his throat and he silenced it quickly. This creature, so timid and pure—his darkness would surely poison her. Yet he found himself speaking words. Words that suggested he was enough for her; when in reality, she deserved so much more than the crow.
I will only leave your side once. He breathed, his neck straight as he stood next to her, flicking his tassel angrily. Why did she not know this? Could she not tell that he was already obsessed with her? One look at her and he had been struck with a dagger through the heart. The bloody contents were spilling all over the damn floor… what a mess… He captured her gaze and forced her to look at him. And even then it will only be for a short while; for death cannot keep me parted from you forever. He smirked and pressed against her more violently, tilting his head to lean his forehead against hers. He stayed like that for many moments, closing his eyes and inhaling her perfume so that he could never get it off of his mind. Eavesdroppers dropped against his skull nervously and he opened his portals once more. Now he pulled back but he was back just as quickly. His pink muscle escaped the cavern of his mouth and he bestowed a soft kiss upon her right brow. She did not know.
She did not know about the troubles as a child that still haunted his memory. She did not know the family that she would most likely never meet officially (for her safety). She did not know the battles, the wars this varg had fought in and commandeered victory from. She knew not of those he had lost—she did not know of the bloody revenge he had taken for his comrades. She did not know the beast he truly was. And, lo, the beast looked upon the face of beauty, and beauty stayed his hand. And from that day forward, he was as one dead.
Axel spoke, still not breaking the contact between the two. He could stay like that forever. Come with me. He stepped backwards, cautiously—as if he were afraid that she was going to take the first train to no man’s land and leave him and his shattered pride, upon the ground where they belonged in the bloody mess of his hearts contents. Another step backwards. If she followed, he would wait until she came up next to him before he turned around and led her to where he was going to be calling a rendezvous point for his pack. They were going to be going hunting… a present for those who had waited for him to lead them—for he had found his sanctuary that would keep the beast contained.
