News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

live with no excuses, love with no regrets

Trailing behind the other Selene follows them - lost in her own private thoughts – rapturous turquoise eyes seeming taken with the sights surrounding them. Love for the island and love for Glorall and its habitants – even those not known to her – kept her from leaving when she had nothing else. Weylin – as much as her heart ached to admit it – she considered lost to her – a failure. Whether it was her personality or her appearance that he disliked the golden, white and half black masked girl didn’t know. But it seemed her imprint preferred to be away from her. Yes he had invited her here and they shared a den but that had been it. Nothing else. And it wasn’t really an invitation. She belonged here –out this outing as an acting diplomat with the others - as not only the acting beta, and queen she was a diplomat to the pack it was part of her job to come on such excursions.

The palpable tension caused questions to rise in her mind as to whether or not a possible alliance would be forged or if this meeting was for another reason. The girl wasn’t so completely out of the loop that she hadn’t heard about the death of Finley, her first ‘friend’ and Weylins brother as Levi was her sister – but just how angry her imprint was about it she was completely oblivious. It wasn’t her fault exactly, though she had failed to pry and try to find out his true feelings neither had he been forth coming or welcoming yet.

When they arrive at the border the queen stays off mostly to herself, away from the others – unsure as to whether she should go and sit by Weylins side or not – but ultimately she decides against the move, if he wants to sit by her he can come to her. His voice calling out her name tugs at her frozen heart and for a moment she allows herself to get her hopes up. Ears tip forward – pointing towards him – and turquoise eyes leap to colorless white ones only to flit to the ground at his gentle gaze. Glancing upwards again her heart squeezes at his words, yet even before a full moment can be shared his glance is elsewhere emotions gone – and once again she is nonexistent to him, and her heart freezes again.

Pan moves to her side sometime after that and the golden queen smiles at her radiant blonde friend. “Are you excited Pan? You finally get to see the Angels.” Her voice is but a murmur – meant for him alone – as her smile broadens. Waiting with Pan the time seems to go by faster, and easier as it always does when she isn’t forced to be alone with her thoughts. The queen comes, her white coat blazing in the sun. Truly Selene thinks maybe Pan was right, that they were Angels – with the sun creating a halo of golden light bathing the ivory and russet and obsidian marked queen Selene is awestruck for a moment, letting images of flying wolves on, for some reason blood splattered, clouds run rampant in her youthful mind before she can rein in her imagination.

Her eyes follow the other queens gauging the other females reactions to everyone and watching the way the lady carries herself and reacts to such a large audience of wolves on her own from a foreign pack, convinced studying the other queen would help her act more queen like herself, and who would be a better role model than an angel queen? Even heavily pregnant there was a regal grace to the ivory female Selene wanted to have someday. Golden lips rise in accordance to the angel queens when their eyes meet and Selene give the queen a nod and a friendly, supportive wag of her tail. When the queen questions D’mani, Selene is surprised at Weylins angry reaction, and she cannot help the way her eyes narrow in questioning anger at her imprint. So the queen hadn’t noticed him first, she could remember the excitement at seeing Pan’s familiar face and truly if Weylin was so keen to keep peace between other he should be able to control himself, to not be addressed first was truly not so big of an offense.

Listening quietly to the queens welcome, still seated beside Pan, Selene once again is thrown off by Weylin newfound attitude. A frown mars her exotically crafted golden and black face – one that only deepens when he speaks to Natalya, in some type of, what she assumes to be code. They had no special codes, or jokes, or anything – for all his talk about imprint business he acted little on it. The nod afterwards only serves to add to her unease. For some reason it seems as if he has some scheme going on in the shadows, and not only does she not know about it, she hates that fact that as not only his ‘beta’ but his imprint she has no idea what is going on.

Isola’s words distract her. Some sinking closer to home than she would like. I am losing soul. it doesn’t matter that they are changed with the accent the queen possesses – Selene recognizes the feeling deep within her own chest and it aches painfully, the wound raw, fresh and deep. Her soul festers every day with the pain from how Weylin keeps himself from her. Turquoise eyes peer at Weylin out of their corners, I am losing soul Weylin, her mind all but screams at him. Gathering her resolve she looks away, locking her eyes on the russet and black marked queen as she finishes her speech. When Weylin begins she listens in an equally measured silence her face blank, knowing that she is on his side and must support him, and besides the pregnant dig Selene can easily do so since she knows little about the situation on either side to really judge anything.

At least until his eyes flit to her – her own skull snaps to return his gaze out of instinct and draw more than desire and as soon as her name leaves his leaves she peels her gaze away returning it to Isola and lets her mind drift away to thoughts of the pregnant queen with her future puppies flying on clouds dripping blood up in the sky. Selene wondered if they would her come with them and absently if the blood would be as sweet as her imagination says it will smell. She doesn’t want to hear Weylin, what he says about imprinting was such a stark contradiction to how he actually acted it made her want to call him out on it. But this was not the time or the place, and as he has said ‘they would talk about a lot when they got back to Glorall. She really had tried for him. She wanted it to be perfect. Yet it was so tiring and her jaws burned with the itch she’d had to bury for so long. So long she had held them to keep Levi alive, Levi who she had barely seen since arriving here. And then for Weylin whom it seems matched his half-sisters tendencies to visit and spend time with the lonely golden queen.

His insult coupled with another quieter jib at her pregnancy is follow by a sudden change that leaves Selene stunned and wondering what the queens’ reply will be. Why Weylin had seen to make this a group affair for personal problem she didn’t know. It seemed more suited for something he and the queen to discuss in private, and thusly had nothing to say on the matter but she hoped Isola did.
