Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

As Fly spoke, Iblis listened with intent. The words she remembers seem to touch him and he feels himself take a step closer to the winged wolfess. There is no past that she can remember and this saddens Iblis' heart. Though his past was stained and full of pain, the smaller male knew that it had been the days long ago that had shaped him into the wolf he was today. If not for the stains than where would he be now? It was best not to dwell on such thoughts and he returned his attention to Fly with a kind smile. A switch seems to flip off in her mind and once more she has become the sweet, gentle wolf from before and the next thing he knew she was asking him about children. Unable to hold it back, Iblis let a deep chuckle escape his lips as he shook his head. "No, I have not pups of my own. I have no home and no mate to raise pups with. Perhaps one day I may have children of my own, but for now I simply wander the free lands."

One of the questions she asked seemed to strike a chord with Iblis. Did he have any friends? Though he had met many wolves in his time, Iblis could not think of one who might consider him a friend. True, he had allies such as Heyel and Rainbow but they weren't really friends in the sense of the word. The only one he could ever see as a friend was the beautiful Illuminada, the silver wolfess who had perished during the Skyfall. His mind began to think of her and before it could become lost again, Iblis withdrew it and sealed the memory up tight. She was gone and that was the end of it he told himself but still his heart refused to listen. Then, with a strange tug, his mind brought him to Jaidah. His beloved, his soul, his imprint. The golden chain binding the scarred warrior to the demoness of the night was more than friendship and yet, at the same time, it was less. Jaidah was on another level and his mind could not even begin to comprehend what his imprint was to him. So, in short, no, Iblis had no friends.

"I know many wolves but, I don't think I have any friends per say. I am a traveler and I never stay too long in an area before I have to move off. I can't say that I would make a good friend either." Iblis said with a humble smile. More questions streamed from Fly like the waters below their paws and Iblis did his best to answer each one as best he could. "Other words? I am afraid I do not follow. I always thought that we wolves spoke the common tongue we each share. Do you know other words, Fly?" A gust of warm, summer wind blew past the wolves bringing with it the scent of other animals who called this place home. Iblis couldn't help but feel his stomach give a noisy grumble as it reminded him of how hungry he was. But he ignored the pangs as he listened to Fly. There was always another chance to hunt, but it wasn't every day he met a wolf who was so kind and interesting. "Fly, tell me, where are you going from here? Do you have any plans now that you’re in Moladion? Maybe I could be of service to you in some way?"
