Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

This creature, this wolf, he would be what Coszcotl’s kind would call a tlacatecolotl. Demon, possessed one, those where usually the sign of a failed sacred ritual, the creature himself was possessed by tzitzimitl… Demons or evil spirits. He wasn’t sure what the words were in common tongue, but he knew what he was in the normal tongue. Bad. Just like how Coza could not say the words properly he was told he was bad with the common tongue words. This creature was also bad, though not in the same since. Bad opposite of good, Coscotle wanted deparately to help this girl, be good, repent for killing those innocent souls, or at least getting them caught to be put to the slaughter later. It was his fault, his fault! This demon was after him, trying to bring him back for abandoning his tribe! It was the only thing he could think of. He would never have the peace he wanted then, if tzitzimitl were after him it would stay so. Maybe not, maybe him fighting this day would be the end, if he got rid of this one everything would be okay. How hard would the spirits try to pull him back to his lands?

Coza still resisted a whine as the wounds on his neck stung and burned with the ripping of Tobias’ fangs, he wasn’t doing a good job as the pathetic sounds escaped his maw until he finally managed to rip himself away, almost literally. He felt his blood flow over his skin and through his fur, his wounds burning like paws on black stones. Burning! He hurt but he would attempt to return the attack, he had to keep the male away from the nice girl who had attempted to talk to him, who seemed nice. Why? Because he wouldn’t let an innocent be harmed. Coszcotl knew he was no celestial being, but today he would guard this wolfess as if he was a guardian angel. Perhaps he had been.

The cream and brown brute made a move, trying to retaliate all he could to cause the demon pain, to chase him away or destroy him. He missed, the pain in his neck causing him to recoil slightly as he stretched out to hurt him. It wasn’t without fail, he felt a single canine catch and in return the brute wail, he missed he needed to dance back, but he saw that the brute was already moving through the water. Now was his chance, his heart raced, fear still in his eyes, the wound around the scruff and shoulder of his neck aching horribly. He had been through worse he had! He just had to keep thinking of protecting her, keep his mind away from the pain, it worked faintly as he drove himself forward watching as Tobias circled around, keeping his form placed between himself and the wolfess. His large size enabled him to move through the water easier, thick legs pushing him, blood that had made it’s way to his leg causing a sparsely noticeable red cloud before vanishing with his movement.

He stopped though as the brute’s visage suddenly changed. It was strange twisted and it looked sad. The soft word that when from his maw sounded sorta, pleading but Coscotl did not know it was a name. It did not last, his expression suddenly twisted again, dead eyes forward looking angry once more. He heard the wolfess shout something but did not dare set his fire opal eyes on her just after he started saying the same word over and over again. Mine. Now he knew that word. It meant to belong to, like mine is Coza for a name. He had heard it, mine. What was his? Coscotl had just got here; did this girl belong to him? Well she didn’t seem to act like she was so interested in the demon. Mine as in Coza? He wanted his life to take him back? No, he wouldn’t let that happen either.

He felt the fem spress against him, it offered some comfort, he launched himself at the brute again, steeling himself for the fact that soon he would probably be feeling fangs against his flesh again. Once more Coszcotl’s fangs stretched out, this time aiming for his opponent’s neck, though he wouldn’t be picky, whatever was closest he would take a hold of and shake about. If he missed he would prepare for more burning hell that would be the demon’s fangs against his own flesh. After his attack he heard a little splash behind him, it was hard to tell with the pair of males, moving in the water, uplifting it and shifting it in small waves. He dared move his gaze to see that the female had collapsed while standing in the water. Not caring about himself, he wasn’t even sure if he had hit, he turned running backwards back to the wolfess, he grabbed her by the scuff of her neck, keeping her head up, it was lucky that he was several inches taller than her, and she was much lighter than himself. He moved her, not sure where Tobias had gone, and only faintly feeling the pang of his wounds. He was very vulenable for another attack if one was launched while like this, he knew that, but he had made sure that Hush’s upper portion of her body was on land, he would not let her drown like that.

"This is me speaking my Nahuatl tongue"
