Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Cloud’s gaze was still guarded. The bright teal eyes locked onto his own blue. He could see the softness of his eyes, it had been so long I had forgotten the pain in my own paws from running over the wasteland that blocked off this land. He had heard of it, as he stared down the male he felt he had heard of it before. He wasn’t walking into a valley, but a crater. From his neighboring lands he had even seen the meteor as a small child. It was beautiful, terrifying. Could anyone survive such destruction? Had he survived this? Cloud was curious about him, about all of them now that he might have known what land he was on. He wanted to know more, he was certain it was horrible, but it didn’t really concern him, but curiosity.

That look in his eyes, it bothered Cloud, his white tipped ears fell back and he wasn’t sure how he felt about them. He looked so strange, and they weren’t the angry confrontational eyes that he was used to looking at, glaring at him, biting him, hating his very being just for being there. He loosened his form, straightening up slightly, and he could feel the pain in his paws as he did relax.

The brute spoke, his voice was calm, despite the snappish words Cloud had given him. To be honest that look and his calm tones shamed him, it made him feel bad and he didn’t like it. His ears again flicked back again, why did this brute keep making him feel bad? No one ever looked at him with those kind of eyes. His question seemed also just as awkward, Cloud had just been thinking about a pack, his home, did he want it again? This brute stood before him searching for someone to join the pack that he belonged too. How convenient, but did Cloud want to go?

”A pack?” Cloud said, curious. It was probably a bandbox compared to his old on, ”Why are you looking, someone to join?” He didn’t know why he was curious. He was certain it was just going to be hell just like his old home... But he wanted to know. Maybe he would think later about it, or maybe if the brute took him would go.

”The name is Cloud by the way.” He held no pride as he spoke his name, he wasn’t a happy creature, and this was the first time he ever started the introduction. Most the time others knew him already, Akri didn’t of course, but he was infamous for whatever reason at his home.
