Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

His head rests automatically atop her own as she presses into him and They fall silent once more so as not to interrupt his time with his imprint, for They understand this, that this is his time and his soul is content when within her embrace, a soul that has been much troubled since the fall of the sky, a soul ill at ease in all that has happened and all that was yet to come. He had saved so many, so, so many and yet they are content to argue once more when they should celebrate the life that is to come, life Dude no longer rejoices in, not fully, without his daughters and Fox and Kismet. He has Jaye though and indeed it is for her he exists now, never truly very far away though he rarely enters Glorall. It is not his place They say. Though nor is Diveen or Spirane or Iromar- truly. Dude must protect pack, always this has been his job and yet he is without Pack and un-balanced because of this. Yet always there is affection for Jaye, given freely and without any demand for it to be returned, offered with utter selflessness for such a creature is Dude, a creature who does not judge and does not question the choices of others, he says what he must, gives love freely and unashamedly and offers whatever else they may seek to take from him with a lazy grin and gentle eyes. Few are so kind as he, as so at peace with this world though indeed he has been troubled of late- even so, with Jaye, he is content, sighing softly as she rests against him before he speaks and she seeks to answer him as he frowns, lifting his head so that he may tilt it in a quizzical fashion before shaking it once more, the gesture almost comical on the overly fluffy creature.

“No, no, no, They are not saying this, no, foolish- sometimes, yes, but all are, not all pack is this way, no, some choices yes, some wolves, yes, but not whole pack- only some. River is never foolish, river makes no mistakes, wolves should be more like River they say and water, yes, comes and goes and wipes clean, always clean, yes. They are meaning otherwise, other things, They are warning pack, family, yes, tell them, yes, your family, that if storm comes.....Glorall will flood. Yes?”

Silver eyes sought to meet her own, though he understands she sees nothing, at least, not as others do. Though Dude is not as the others, she see’s, yes, she see’s very well- just differently, this Dude knows and understands. His head rested against her own once more, calm after his out-burst, Their warning delivered though it is unfortunate that perhaps Jaye will not understand. Her words did not last long however, before she was given to cough again, Dude remaining pressed against her with easy silence, calm- until she finished, his form curling around her own, holding her, embracing her with his entire form- holding her together and allowing such coughs to shake his own form also- for each cough marks him in much the same way. She is his soul, he cannot exist without her and she cannot lie to him. Dude knows. He knows every time her chest burns. She speaks then, trying to turn her words from this and Dude allows it, because he understands, because if she does not wish to speak of it then he will not ask. In time it will be right, in time she will come to him with the information he already knows. It is simply kindness that keeps him silent, a soft and knowing smile upon his lip as he licks her muzzle.

“Wandering yes, I have been wandering, no place, no, not for me. Wrong, all wrong and They have much to say, better, perhaps, if not near others when They are speaking, not all good no, but not all bad. Not good, not bad, ok. I am ok.”

He smiled, lazy and easy against her before he frowned once more, pushing himself to his feet with a sudden jolt yet remaining against her all the same, supporting her still.

“Come. We must go yes, now, yes, They say it must be now, right now- we must see them, you must touch them. We go. I go with you, keep you safe, lead you, though welcome you will be- by most. Yes. Now, now.”

He is utterly insistent as he nudges her gently and They whisper once more to his ears as he scowled again. They say she does not understand, They say he has confused her, she does not know where she goes. He speaks once more, voice soft and smooth and gentle as always as he licks her muzzle in willing affection.

“They say you must meet them- from you, from the Unbalanced one, from Demetri and the Broken one, from Tobias and the Angel Outcast. Your grandsons, yes, yes.....great grandsons, yes- they have been born, They say. We go, yes?”

She must meet them, these boys, her great grandsons, the only wolfess within this land to claim such relation and she must go to them. They insist.
