Zilo heard Shadow's soft voiced and yipped for joy. While she was pushing on one humongous boulder, Shadow must've been pushing on another because suddenly the ashen rock swayed and fell. Leaping out of its way, Zi sighed in relief. Then she yipped in alarm as several more boulders fell around it. The area of the hole made by her beloved Shadow (<3) was big enough for a grizzly to fit through. But as the rubble was falling, Zi heard an audible "yip!" of pain. There was only one wolf outside. Shadow.

"Shadow!" Zilo scrambled over the wreckage and saw her pure black mate. Her blue-gray eyes widened as she saw Shadow's front appendage. It was gruesomly twisted and broken. "Shadow! Love!" Shadow was gasping for breath, panting in pain. His world must be shattered right now. Oh, so is mine. Zilo thought. She leaned over and kissed Shadow's lips.

"Shadow, hon, stay here, I will get help, my love." Quickly Zi scavenged some moss and attached it to Shadow's leg with cobwebs to slow the bleeding. Then she ran off in search for help, sobbing. Oh, I hate to leave you like this! I'll come back soon my love! Oh, I hope you don't become a cripple. You won't, I hope. Shadow! I love you! Hang in there!

OOC: So here's the plot so far: Zilo goes to the Cavern of Secrets and waits for Shadow. A rockfall blocks the entrance. Shadow finds her, moves the boulders, but twists his leg and breaks it. So-
Sad ending (please don't pick this!): Shadow is healed, but becomes a cripple and is unable to hunt or fight.
Good ending (please pick this!): Shadow is healed completely, has a limp for a while, then the limp goes away, and HIP-HIP-HORAY!
