If she did not want him around, then he would go. All she had to do was ask, and it would be so. He could never pressure her into being with him or near him. He'd try to convince her that she mattered to him, but only if she would allow it. He did not want to make her uncomfortable at all. She seems good with his presence right now, at least. That part is great. He can ease into anything else, and he has a little time before his promised status has to be... fulfilled or... broken?
He doesn't know. All he does know is that he will keep his part of the promise and give Micteca the choice on her side of what to do. Maybe he needs to bring it up to see how she felt about it? Or should he wait it out a little first? Choices, choices. He can't be sure which to pick of them. Perhaps she would say or do something? She liked his company as far as he could tell, which helped whichever way it went. Even if they did what he'd heard referred to as a 'handfasting', that would be enough, right? One year to see if they wanted more?
Sabriel looked at Micteca and wondered over these things. He had waited for her all this time, and after all the waiting he felt unsure on if she would be comfortable being more then friends or whatnot. It doesn't matter; he's here for her whichever way she needs. He means what he's said to her. And when her head lowers and she speaks, he frowns a little. "My birth mother was killed by the meteor..." He said lightly, shuffling his paws. "But I've got the gypsies.." A shrug; he was content with them.
At the words of not being hungry from Micteca, Sabriel simply nodded. She didn't have to eat the rabbit if she wasn't feeling up to it. Then she asked if he wanted to go with her to Diveen and he blinked, pondered it. Wasn't that where second-mother Pei was staying? And of course there was that whole issue thing with his father that had gone on to think about. "I would like to visit, maybe see my second-mother... but I'm not sure I'll be allowed. My father um.. fought with the leader, I guess..." He sighed.
