News - SUMMER
Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.
Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.
We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.
As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

Andromeda could tell the boy so deseparetly attempted to take after his father. He was eager to see Azrael before they left, yet Andromeda wasn't going to wait around for him. They neede to leave before it got too late, for Guardian would likely fall asleep anyway. Luckily for her son, Azrael returned just as they were leaving. This led to Guardian squeeling in joy and getting a raise brow from his mother...and a small smile on her onyx lips. It was better that he loved his father this much instead of hate. Azrael was a rather harsh man at times, he was not careful with his words and almost always said exactly what was on his mind. She could see how he could get himself disliked. Andromeda watched as her son put on a little show for his father, with his tall posture and that proud look on his star-touched face. Guardian was rather adorable, she almost felt that the boy loved his father more than she, but at the same time, she had all day and night to be with her sons. Guardian just wished for time with his father that he didn't get. Andromeda knew deep inside, Guardian wished to be taken on a father son trip. She could tell, it was no surprise. Andromeda would be sure to bring it up to Azrael...she knows he would agree, at least at some point. How could he not want some one on one time with his sons? Right now at least, Starfall and Meryl will get some attention, without Guardian trying to hog it all. Starfall loved his father, but also was more...wary of him...for other reasons, reasons that Azrael really didn't have control over. Starfall's visions of Azrael in his dreams could be rather overbearing at times and Starfall didn't understand that it wasn't the same Azrael. It was difficult for a young dreamwalker to understand.
This is part of what led Andromeda to bring Guardian out on his own. He needed to understand some things that Andromeda could only tell him alone. Hopefully he was old enough to understand, she may have to talk with him again in another year or so.
Guardian played with the insects and such that lingered in the grasses of Diveen. She did not stop him from his play, if anything it would serve better that he get out some of his energy. Andromeda continued her steady walk, content as her son follows and romps and plays. It wasn't long before little Guardian was by her side, looking up at her with that look he does when he wants attention. Her yellow eyes glanced down at him, nodding as he took his deep breath. Oh boy. She was going to get it! He was a talker just like his father. Guardian speaks and she twists her ears over to listen. She had no idea why he spoke the way he did. His English sounded so different than Starfall's or Meryl's. She didn't know how heavy of an influence Latin had on him...Starfall's English was excellent, far beyond any pup she met at his age, to be expected from a Dreamwalker. She wondered how Guardian's Latin was coming along, and the dark female noted to herself to ask Azrael later. Guardian spoke of meeting other puppies and getting into the delicate intricacies of pack ranks. She really didn't know how the answer such a question. It worked different from pack to pack.
"Oh so you met Achilles? Yes, he is the Prince of Diveen, according to the ways of your father. You would have to ask him if you are a prince in these lands, darling. I can tell you now, that you are definitely a prince in the lands I came from. But, Guardian, being Prince, King, Queen, it does not matter unless you make it matter," she said, stopping a moment to look down at him, figuring he really wouldn't understand or wouldn't really...care about her opinion on things such as royalty. She continued on, her thick black limbs carrying her smoothly across the land of Diveen. Guardian had more to say though, and she was sure that he was enjoying having time with her all to himself. It was that time that they arrived at the spot she had chosen, she listened to his words and his questions and would answer them as soon as they settled in. Andromeda lay and told him to be wary, but being the curious pup he was, Guardian tried to peek his head over and got a stern warning grown from his mother. She was indeed glad that he decided to cuddle up against her chest among her legs. Her dark muzzle reached down to nuzzle him with enourmous amounts of affection, her tongue licking his face gently.
"Guardian, wolves do all sorts of different things in this world. Meryl is learning the ways of healing. Healing can save your life one day, my son. Just because father does not find something interesting, doesn't mean that others find it interesting. Everyone is different and likes different things. You will be thankful one day when Meryl knows how to heal a wound or take away your pain," she said with her smooth and gentle voice, her yellow eyes gazing down upon her son who was so curious about the world around them, and she wondered if she could ever explain it all properly. He would eventually have to discover it all for himself one day. With his question of relatives, Andromeda sighed softly, her eyes traveling up to the setting sun.
"Yes Guardian, you have many relatives here. I am not from here, Guardian. I am from a place very, very far away. It is a place that you father nor any of his relatives had gone to. I came here alone, away from my pack where I was born. That is one reason why I have no relatives here, other than you!" she said, trying to end in a smile as she touched him with her nose. There was so much to say, and yet she didn't want to overload him with information. How long can a little pup pay attention, anyway?
"I do not have brothers and sisters like your father, son. My mother was what we called a Dreamwalker. She had eyes with no black holes, and her dreams were like real life. It is said, that we all come from the stars. Our bodies come from fallen stars and so do our souls. You can see new souls come to earth whenever you see a star shoot across the sky. Guardian, you are marked with a mark of divinity, both you and your brother. Your father had spoke of how you both have white dots on your head. They are a sign of greatness, that the stars have chosen you. You represent the line of original wolves that fell from the heavens. It is your duty to represent them well. My mother, Guardian, only had me. I had no brothers and sisters when I was born. Dreamwalkers are very special. The stars speak through them. They visions are to be taken seriously, my son. But the gift of Dreamwalking is very dangerous. My mother walked while she slept. She walked right into the jaws of a...bad guy. She didn't know it, Guardian, and no one stopped her or protected her. She died before I had any siblings," she said with a tinge of sadness in her voice. She let silence overcome them for a moment, so Guardian could process all the words she had just said. Her lemon yellow eyes looked down at the blue and gold eyes of her son, hoping that he paid attention, and cared to learn of his history that didn't involve his father.
"Your brother Starfall is like my mother, son. He is a Dreamwalker. He is gifted but always in danger when he sleeps. Dreamwalkrs are always born in twos. The second puppy is just as special as the Dreamwalker. They are meant to protect the Dreamwalker and make sure they get into no danger when they sleep. That is your, Guardian. You are meant to protect your brother when he cannot protect himself. Do you understand how important you are? My mother's protector had died before I was born. He wasn't there to protect my mother when she walked to her death. When you are older, you will need to help your brother, Guardian. He will not live long without you," she said with a dull concern washing over her face. Yes, Andromeda was worried about Starfall's fate. She was also concerned with putting such a thing on Guardian's shoulders, but it was the way of the Dreamwalkers. It was how things always were and it was a tradition that Andromeda could not ignore, for to her it was more than just a tradition. Andromeda searched Guardian's face, looking for a reaction to all that she just told him.
"Guardian, it is not appropriate to use the word Bastard, do you understand? It is considered rude. Do not say this word until you are older and understand it better, okay?" she said with a lifted brow, knowing that Azrael let his mouth run. Guardian is going to get in trouble and scolded by Heyel if he ever heard him refer to him as a Bastard. She blinked and softened her gaze once again, her paws pushing Guardian in closer to her chest. Her boy. Her youngest boy. She was so happy to be sitting here with him as the stars began to dot the sky. There as more to tell,so much more but she had to know what he had to say about all of this so far.
"Guardian, I love all of you equally. There is no best for love unless you allow it to happen. Do you love me or your father more? Think hard about it. The love may be different, but it may not be better than the other, understand?" she said tilting her head slightly with a small grin on her maw. It was up to Guardian to interpret this how he will. She did, however, nuzzle into him once again, giggling slightly as she said, "I do love you, very, very much though son, don't you ever forget it, okay?" and finished it up by giving him a good, hearty lick.
