He was just too easy to wind up. Lycaon seemed to think that he was running this show, but she knew so much better. It amused her really. Beneath the cold rock exterior was a diamond, waiting to be polished. His eyes told a dark tale, but it was one that Lolita didn't fear. It intrigued her, and she found herself wanting to know more. Who exactly was this male? Where did he hail from? And most importantly, what seemed to have divided him so? It was a sad fact she'd seen many times. Those who suffered through trauma were never the same. Most the time it left them in a void between being two different people, never quite grasping one as so to pull themselves back together. Her smirk was met with a grin. Ah, so that stoic expression was capable of such things then? She was glad. He should really attempt such facial features more often. It was one thing to be a grumpy femme, in fact, some naturally expected it. However, she knew for a fact his almost hostile nature was holding him back from true greatness, whether he acknowledged the fact or not. Oh, she was going to push him to his limits. Whether they held or not would be a reflection of him. ”Oh I’m sure I can cope. If you can stalk a shadow then be my guest. I have made a living of going undetected. I can’t say I have any hope for you however. You’ll probably go crazy way before I do.” A surprised small laugh escaped her maw. Oh, it wasn't that she doubted his ability to become a ghost, in fact that made sense to her. But crazy? Puh-lease. Plus, he thought he could cope? Naive varg obviously hadn't met her yet. Or her full potential anyway. She could drive even the most bomb-proof wolves insane. "You, driving me crazy? I wish you luck, Sir. But I really would be careful what you wish for." The sun had been travelling overhead whilst they talked. She didn't really mind the fact at all. He could leave if he so wished, it wasn't like she had the physical capability to hold him back. Still, she couldn't help another grin forming. Oh, it'd be only too ironic if he was afraid of the dark. ”So Lolita... What conversation topic shall we discuss next? I’ll let you choose as I’m such a gentleman.” She gave him a quizzical look, expecting a trick. A gentleman? In some respects, yes. However, that didn't clear up how he shall be forever remember, unless dear reader, someone where to change that mental prospect: A stubborn arse. This though, was not necessary a insult coming from the sharp-tongued femme, who was oftened labelled this way as well. "Tell me about these...skills, you make a 'living' from, dear Lycaon. You've captured my attention there." The name was rolled over her tongue, mischief once more gleaming in her amber eyes. "I guess such skills mean you're not just a lawn ornament." The final words held a hint of teasing to them, but also a promise. If he was open with her, she'd be gracious enough to show him the same courtesy. If not, then he better prepare himself for another round of word games. At least till he learnt his lesson anyway. Hopefully the oaf was beginning to get the hint, that surprisingly enough, he could trust her, even though she guessed he did not trust easily. Well, he'd have to learn, because some of her earlier words were true. She would still become impossible to avoid indefinitely. Plus, she wanted to get to know this particular varg better. Hell, one day he might even be considered a friend. |
