Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Caspian…well, Cas saw just about everything. He knew a lot, well as much a pup his age could. He knew that Father loved mummy and that Father took care of everyone who lived with them. Well, not in their den but around the den. Or, that’s how his mother had explained it. His father, while his sisters thought he ruled the world, didn’t. He owned land; at least, that’s how he managed to understand it. His mother helped sometimes, not often though. Sometimes, though, his mother would disappear, leaving them with the stern orders to keep an eye on each other and not to leave the den. His mother was tired a lot, he could always tell. She would be easier to persuade, to leave the den or to play a game she usually dubbed “too rough.” He appreciated the fact that his mother took care of them and only wanted what was best, but sometimes she was suffocating. But, that’s not what we’re here to talk about it, is it? Caspian, as we were saying, is an intelligent and observant young fellow. And that’s why, when his darling little sister, Sophie, wandered off, he was the first to know.

So, as his mother slipped into the depths of sleep, exhaustion lining her face, he bounded after her. He might have been slight when he had been born, but no longer. He was becoming a fine specimen, standing over his slighter sisters. He carried himself just like he had learned by watching his father. Head high, shoulders squared. He knew that, as he was the sole male heir to his father, it was likely he would inherit the lands he was born on. And if he was to be a ruler, like his father, he must carry himself and act as one. That’s why, as he followed his sister, his head was high and even as he slunk through the shadows as he often did, he moved regally. He followed her, wincing noticeably as her frame bounced over the border, marked clearly with claw marks and the strong scent of their father. He sighed and rolled his eyes, pacing the shadows along the border worriedly; reluctant to cross the clearly marked line but even more reluctant to let his sister roam free along the packlands that weren’t his father’s. He squared his shoulders and gave himself a quick, curt nod.

A leader had to make tough choices. And packmembers always came before borders. Especially important packmembers, like his darling Sophie. So he stalked across the border, glancing over his shoulder briefly before bounding after the younger dear, large red ears pricked for the child’s voice. When she cried out with delight, he tensed, picking up his gait into a steady puppy gallop, his long legs eating up the distance between himself and his sister. Soph? He called, listening closely for the sweetheart’s response. When none came he flicked one ear impatiently before trotting in the direction he had heard her voice the first time, wincing as he saw catches of the familiar grey puppy fluff on bushes and shrubs. He twisted through a bush, caught sight of his sister’s familiar grey coat before she disappeared, bounding after what, he could only imagine, was a rabbit. Or, a bunbun as she had called it. He grunted, yanking himself through the shrubbery and bounding after her, face determined. She didn’t give much chase and he soon caught up with her, emerald portals anxious as he searched her for any sign of obvious injury. Soph! He cried, burying his face into her shoulder and inhaling her sweet puppy scent. Mummy told you not to leave the den! He scolded gently.

He lifted his head, jerking upwards on his hindpaws shakily, narrow face twisting back and forth, trying to spot any immediate threat. Com’on, Soph. Let’s go back home to Mummy and Da. Da’ll probably declare war or something if we aren’t there when he gets back. And Mummy will be terrified. Probably go on a warpath until she finds us. Mum can be downright scery. He rambled slightly, nudging his sister in the direction they had come, hoping to get them back before anyone noticed they were missing. And, better yet, before one of this pack’s members found them. That’d be terrible! They’d take them to the alpha and then the alpha could hold them hostage! Or, even worse, tell their mother! He shuddered at the thought and gave Sophie another nudge, this one with a bit more force and a bit more anxiety coloring his features as he ushered her forward. He shook his head. Just…follow me, kay? And don’t stop following me until we get to the den. Mum’ll have my head if I let you get lost. Actually. She’ll have both our heads if she wakes up and finds us not there. He was rambling again.

He shook his head and took a few steps towards the direction he had come, glancing over his shoulder at his sister, as if reassuring himself that she would follow him. He shook his shoulders out, feeling the already growing mane puff up with anxiety as he waited impatiently for his sister. He didn’t want to be here any longer then he needed to. The sooner they were in their Da’s land the better.
