News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Violet eyes moved to peer within the darkness of the den once more, waiting with patient ease for the Alphess herself, one eye lifting in mild surprise as a male emerged, the large, grey creature moving to seat himself before me, my own head dipping in greeting as he spoke on behalf of Moonglow, stating indeed that the Alphess required her rest. Hmm, perhaps a difficult birth then, it was no unheard of and indeed given that which had come to follow in the wake of the sky fall it is perhaps not surprising that some mothers may have been given to suffer. Even Aaliyah had found trouble in delivering her two young sons, though for that I blamed Tobias and his genetic disposition to fathering abnormally large children. I pushed such thoughts away for now, returning my attention to this- Alcide as he seemed to eye my gift with some approval. Good, he should like it, I am not inclined to offer such pleasantries to just anyone, yet for the sake of continued good relations between Diveen and Spirane I am willing to extend the traditions of my pack and family to those I deem worthy, ears pricking forward as Alcide spoke once more, speaking of the child born to himself and his mate these past days. I allowed an easy grin to touch my features once more at the mention of this- Daenerys, an odd and complicated name in my opinion and yet one I keep to myself, just as I do my inclination to believe that a child covered in so much black is hardly reason to get excited, though indeed for those not given to believe as I do such a thing is a joy all the same I am sure, a dark undercoat a rare thing indeed, even if unattractive.

“She sounds most lovely indeed, Diveen wishes her only health, perhaps, in time you will bring your daughter to my pack to meet her distant relatives and enjoy the company of other pups, there will be many this spring.”

They are allies and allies should be indulged in some privilege should they not. I nodded once more, the pride in the tall male an evident thing as he spoke of his child, my attention returning readily as he mentioned my own Amaterasu, her pairing with Zildjian and my disapproval of it a hardly secretive fact. Honestly if the boy hadn’t managed to damn well crush her already his children making their way into this world surely would. I may not understand all the ways of the world, yet my Ammy is an evenly built girl, not small, though hardly towering as her mate and from what have witnessed in my time such matches….during the birth, do not always favour the mother so well. I shifted, attempting to maintain a look of polite inquiry, unwilling to allow Alcide to see the true depth of my concern for my daughter and grandchildren as yet unborn. To hear that they were safe and well, that I have become a grandfather again this day, to two girls is a relief, a sigh softly leaving my lips as the violet of my gaze returned to his own. Good names too, in my opinion.

“I shall visit with her before I leave then, to see her and them for myself. Isola will be pleased to hear she is made an aunt this day.”

Pleasantries can only last so long however and it is a pleasing thing to be in the company of another who understands a need for the discussion of all matters. In truth I would seek such words to be given to Moonglow alone and yet, I will not offer such disrespect as to not accept him as leader in the absence of his counterpart this day. I do not know this Alcide well and yet I am somewhat inclined to like him, if not for his easy and respectful manner in regards to myself. Honestly there is more than one wolf in Moladion that seems to forget themselves in my presence. Spirane and its leaders however, clearly remember who and what I am.

“It is perhaps not so much news as it is a request, a warning. The wolves of Iromar are targeting those of Diveen, or so I believed until a rather…disturbing pattern became clear. Iromar is targeting my children, Alcide, any of those born of my blood or connected to it. They have attempted the theft of Isola time and again, of Azrael, of Serpahiel. Glorall allowed my Sinopa to be taken and my sons imprint, heavily pregnant, was stolen from the free lands, the distress of being removed from him at such a time bringing a grief none should have to suffer as you can imagine.”

I paused, gaze lifting to his own. He, as Moonglow this day, was a parent and perhaps he would understand all the more the anger that burned in my veins, a deadly and dangerous thing. I have made rulers in this land and I have ripped their throats out all the same.

“They have also come for my grandchildren, so this is the warning I bring you- please, watch over Calista and Amaterasu, guard my children and grandchildren who rest under your watch, knowing what I have told you. They will be targeted if they have not been already. Isola seeks to make peace, yet is this does not work I will make my own version of…peace. I simply come to warn you that some you guard and protect may be in danger. Spirane has always been friend to Diveen and we hope for that to continue, so I bring you this information so perhaps, you may be better prepared.”
