Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

It had been easy to avoid his mother despite her apparent desperation to find them; she was clumsy or at least not so skilled when it came to tracking. For the most part, his Caligula and he had lived in peace far from the others - he had sensed unrest within her, however, one he would soon have to put to rest if he so desired for her to remain happy. Despite her devotion, it was unavoidable that he felt... threatened at the best of times from other males, particularly with winter creeping up all too fast on their heels. He had taken extra precautions, marking over her scent as often as possible and hiding the mouth of their den to the best of his ability. Time consuming but completely necessary in his eyes.

Of course, there came a time that he would be required to leave their makeshift home; to hunt, firstly, but also to satisfy the social creature within him. He enjoyed conversation, the game and art of such a thing and for that alone he had decided to take his leave come the morning, though he dare not leave the Western crater they called home. He had become adept in the art of making his way through and atop the stone labyrinth, his movements sure footed and brisk as he searched tirelessly for some form of amusement. Truth be told, Tesseract did not hold friendships, so to say - at the best, he held business partners or acquaintances. That would have to change and it seemed he was in luck; there was movement nearby, the unmistakable sound of paw against stone, a sound that drew his attention immediately. It was not as he had expected, however, and as he descended down the ledges he found a crevice - deep, endless and dark though seemingly full of life. There had been but a moment of hesitancy on his behalf before he entered, his long limbs moving in deliberate slowness to as to muffle his sounds just that bit more. It was his curiosity that drove him to be so silent, his ears cupped forward as he listens to a voice echoing out before him. A smirk arose, though truthfully he was simply entertained by the idea of such a gathering - what an unusual place to group, no?

"Another comes this way," he called out into the dark, his voice cool as he approached the duo, his presence well and truly announced.

In the darkness he was but a wraith, his form tall and waif-like - he had noticed the other male, had come to stand parallel to him though keeping as much distance possible between them. Even in the dark he can see the male's sheer size. They were stark comparisons; whereas Heartless stood broad and marked by the dark, Tesseract stood narrow and his back alight with a wildfire of scarlet and black fur, the lavender of his eyes reflecting so slightly in the dank light. The girl was not unnoticed, her slight size duly noted and her personal space catered to - what was more intimidating than being cornered by two strangers, men at that, in such a place? Of course, he had never been called intimidating despite it all. It was all about perception.

"Heartless, was it? A pleasure - I am Tesseract, please accept my apology too if I have intruded," he spoke smoothly, his face to Heartless before drifting lazily to Fathom with an easy grin, "And to you, lady. I did not mean to scare if I have but you had me intrigued - I heard noises here and got mighty curious. It is not often you find wolves brave enough to travel these parts."

Even he had not ventured the dark reserves thoroughly - he understood they made excellent breeding grounds, so to say, for the likes of Tobias and his particular... type. Whereas Caligula may have had an infatuation with the idea of such a beast, Tesseract had no intention of encountering him lest it be for some kind of ... strategical benefit. His compliment was honest, at least. Fathom, even this Heartless fellow, had a spine. He remained standing, his eyes slowly drifting between the two, his ears rotating about to catch the echoes and vibrations of the cavern; he, himself, did not enjoy the idea of being cornered in such a place.
