aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

.:Silent Ends:.

Chiron’s movements were fluid, following and picking up her cues. It had been so long since he had looked at the land he lived in, a smile crossed his face but not for the reason his brain seemed to think; his instincts were hidden but alive and showing. Chenzii smiled as he came beside her, and his smile only grew bigger. Their eyes met, colors from the opposite side of the spectrum, her anxious portals looking into his soul gazers; looking into some one’s eyes could tell you so much of their past, feelings, and interests. Chiron wasn’t lustful; he wasn’t the one night stand type he wanted the long term but only if it was for sure; that, he was sure of.

His starting fragment was subtle in leading into the clean part of the story, the miniscule part. Chenzii’s eyes were compassionate towards him and he offered a slight smile in return. Maybe she understood, but a sweet girl like her hadn’t done what he had. It was so long ago… but it still haunted him. Part of his story was passed on to the girl and he only asked her of what she felt to give in return. He wasn’t one to push for things.

Chenzii seemed shocked by his gesture; to him it seemed common sense. Then again he did want to please the girl, something he didn’t usually feel like doing for others but she was different. The fur brushing felt like electricity passing through his body, shocking! Did it affect her like it did to him? He eyes watched her body moving around foreign objects, he had to move with her and so he was getting continually closer to her. His mind raced as his body, again came close to touching hers. God, why was this so difficult for him to forget?! He had never had this much problem with talking and walking with a female! His comment only pushed him farther into a pit of questions and the blushing only made that much more obvious… where was this coming from?

Chiron thoughts that had pushed the girl as she was suprised but her smile made him think it was a ‘good’ shock. He instinctually smiled back, his pearly white razors creating an image of happiness on his features. Now it was her turn to put him in awe, “I would miss you as well Chiron, I enjoy spending time with you. I am sorry to hear that you lost your family so young. I also lost my parents. When I was not more than a pup a fire destroyed my pack. My mother warned me and my brother so we were able to escape, but I can only assume the rest of my pack and family did not make it as I have never seen them since that night. My brother and I were very close and traveled together, learning how to survive with just the two of us. Not long after we lost each other. I had assumed that he did not make it on his own, until I met him unexpectedly at Staircase Falls not too long ago.” her transition may have been quick but it still stopped his heart, she cared! Chiron changed his smile to offer her comfort, he understood the pain of loss… and the taste of blood. Memories flooded his mind, the fight, the kill… oh god…

Chiron barely heard the girls words, “I’m sorry to ramble; I guess I just feel very comfortable with you.” the girl knew how to catch his attention; the shy smile did the trick. He nudged, shoulder to shoulder. Not too much right? Chenzii I must finish my story for I don’t want you to think I am something I am not. My past is a lot darker than you may think… Chiron looked away towards the ground, I was passed onto a different pack with a cruel, abusive leader. He took me as his apprentice and taught me the ways of being an assassin/ spy. I was treated like a prize by him but his pack was picked off one by one… Each full moon a wolf would be chosen to fight the King to the Death. The victor would become Alpha as reward but that happened. He never lost; he was a monster, a demon. I watched as rivers of blood flowed from the arena and he still stood victor. I was angered by his power and so I took it from him. I killed him; I fought him to the Death, he smiled viciously as he died. His last words scared the living hell out of me… Oh my child what makes you think you will be any different than me? I taught you in my ways, you are my copy! His evil laugh filled the arena as he died. I ran away soon after in fear of what I could become… when I came here I was looking for a sanctuary to protect me but he’s not alive… What’s wrong with me? Chiron mumbled the question more to himself, tears threatened to fall and sobs to shake his frame. He tightened his muscles forcing himself to walk on. He couldn’t meet her eyes, it had so long since the story was told…
