Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Silence is a Lie

To run from someone, something was different from, say, fleeing from your past, memories, or problems. But alas there seemed one thing that she could not escape and that was herself and everything about her. Nothing had worked and the only option that seemed left would have been death! She was suicidal and so that was not an option, she’d rather live in silence, if that’s what it took. Her disfluency, her looks could be ignored, right? Well that had been tried but every reflection reminded her of what she was, a maned wolf. There wasn’t anything wrong being a maned wolf but she had never fit it anywhere… her red and black fur, her long gangly legs.

Lokii didn’t murder anyone but she wanted to fit in… was there others like her? She had been dropped off in Blossom Forest by her ‘parents’, if they were truly her parents wouldn’t they have stayed and took care of her? Well apparently not. So her she was lonely, stuttering/silent, and ugly. Why couldn’t she just look like everyone else! Curse her blood line… She didn’t trust anyone in fear of being left so she kept to herself most of the time but she couldn’t stand herself so that didn’t help either. Neither option got her anywhere in life.

Lokii sighed as she walked the cliff trails; there were stale scents that led deeper into the thicket but no fresh ones. Lokii kept her nose to the ground searching for anything that had a hint of life, and then a butterfly landed on her nose. Lokii forgot her problems and watched the butterfly and when it flew off she followed it. It took her through thick and thin until it flew over the edge… Lokii whined, Come back… Back to loneliness, wait! She smelled a fresh scent. Lokii stuck her nose to it and followed it until she reached the edge of a thicket. She crawled under it and looked out; there was a female sitting there, silently. Lokii felt like an intruder but the girl probably knew she was there. She yipped a call of presence hoping she wasn’t interrupting anything. She belly crawled closer to the fea, Hi, I’m Lokii. Do you mind if I join you? Her voice was laced with fear.
