The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

The femme lifted her front paw up as she sneezed. A faint scent was surrounding her like she was a small piece of prey. She spaced out. She made herself think of every variable of the universe. Most of which she would attack the stalker. There was a stalker. Then why did she panic?

Halt. On your back. State your name and your business with my pack.

The gray she yelped and ran up a tree, and swiped with her paw, much like a feline. She arched her back making her fur stand straight and ruffle around her collarbone. Her pupils narrowed. Her claws hooked onto the chipped bark. She let out quite a hiss-like growl. But it was a growl nonetheless.

Her nose cringed and she closed her eyes and looked away. The scent was stronger. She coughed. That minute seemed like several years. For the longest time she couldn't figure out if it was just awkward, or she was dead. She stood up on the tree branch. Although she couldn't really see the wolf, she replied "I-I-I-I-I" no one could tell if her eyes blazed with anger, or fear.

She tried to ignore the nasty Abendrot scent. She knew what an alpha smelt like now, thanks to her encounter with Pandora. She hated maned wolves.

Halt. On your back.

The lyrics echoed in her mind.

Halt. On your......

She buried her nose in her paws.

Halt......Halt

It was too strange. It was a brute. It all sounded too robotic for Cana. She stared on. She finally caught sight of a white figure. Big.... No.... Giant.

She felt so retarded to not see him at first. He was practically arctic. Her tail twitched. She finally forced herself to have a straight face. She leaped down, landing on her feet. Oh, would she wish it was nighttime so she could just sneak away.

"My name is.... I am... Canada"

Why does it always have to be an alpha?
