It is the snap of Aindreas’ tongue that Exodus catches and not Genisys for she is already too far gone. Not physically, but mentally. She is attempting to block it all out, the newfound pain. There was a belief in her mind that Serris was going to attack her. After all, she wasn’t good at this pack thing. Avoiding the possible death of her and her brother, she believed that the good thing would be to leave. Exodus stayed back, glaring at Aindreas as his icy blues lock on to him like a target. He lifts his upper kisser, flashing his canines as a low rumble emits from him. In Exodus’ eyes, it is Aindreas’ fault that Genisys is leaving. He wants to snap, to charge at him and tear his worthless heart out. His next words of plea are what cause him to stop. No doubt he would have pushed through Serris to get to him. It is the whine that has the growls cease and the snarl disperse. Instead Exodus finds himself rolling his eyes, unsure whether this was pathetic or not.
Serris speaks and Exodus’ smirks, his eyes still locked on Aindreas. “Crystal.” His low chords come out as a whispered growl. He tilts his head as the male leaves, watching Aindreas with an emotionless gaze. “I never thought I would see the day when another could break my sister.” His words seem to come out as a sneer. “Congratulations, you’ve just topped what my father did.” The black beast snorts, seeming to spit at Aindreas as he turns away, looking for Genisys’ pale form.
Genisys is oblivious to it all, pain racking her body and making her shake slightly. She is determined to cross the border without crying. There hasn’t been a time when one has seen her cry and there wouldn’t be now. She inhales, the breath is shaky and ragged and her steps falter slightly. Again she would be alone and as time went by she would once again, be alright with it. Her steps are hurried until she hears a beast trailing her. Her ears flick back, her heart racing hopefully that just maybe it was possible. It is not Aindreas that causes her to stop though, it is Serris. Genisys tries to hide the disappointment upon her pale features, swallowing her emotion through a tight throat. Before she could even attempt to speak, it is he who does and Genisys finds herself blinking. He wanted a submission. Foolish girl! She curses herself inwardly at this. Only a child would believe he would have attacked her. She looks down, wondering if se should even go back. She doesn’t know what hurts more, being there and seeing him, smelling him everywhere or being without him completely.
It takes a little while but Genisys crème bodice lowers to the earth. She tells herself that this is for her brother, not him. She has to keep her brother in line. Genisys moves, rolling on to her stomach and revealing the soft vulnerability of herself. “I apologize for my brother’s behavior. He is protective of me.” She is rambling now, her strong, clear lyrics attempting to make sense within the mumbo jumbo of her mind. “I’ll keep him in line.” More rambling, this time with the words outside of her mind, they make sense, give her purpose. From upside down she graces him with a small smile. At this time, she rolls onto her stomach and stands back up. She wasn’t sure how long she should be down there but, she was sure that was long enough. Genisys shakes out her pelt, returning her jades to Serris. “We have yet to be introduced; I am Genisys.”
