The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

When she woke, she was not where she expected herself to be.
For the past two or three weeks... which had seemed like mere minutes to the unconcious being-- Kobato had been in some sort of coma.
Her loss of her will to live had taken quite the toll on her.
Yet he was there... Ioryogi, he had been there with her.
Kobato's portals fluttered open, sightless for a short while before she was able to distinguish one thing from another and then she was looking around for that dark frame... those blue eyes... but there was nothing but darkness. Was she... in Hell?
You will NOT die! The words echoed so loudly in her memory that she was thoroughly convinced that whoever had said them was right beside her. She flinched as she tried to move and ended up wasting energy in vain. No, she was not dead-- and she was not in Hell, for Hell did not have a light at the entrance of it. It was unthinkable. You will LIVE because you are MINE, replayed in her head, and she swallowed, parched, for the first time in weeks. Her head was pounding and her eyes hurt from the little charcoal spirits that infested her vision. Again, the question of where she was located at tugged at her cells. Fear hit her heart. Was she going to be alone again?! She was afraid... and NOTHING will ever harm you again. Blank eyes stared out at the wall, closing slowly, then reopening in a gentle motion. because I WILL KILL IT BEFORE IT HAS THE CHANCE. She didn't want to be alone anymore. She was scared of being alone. She could not survive on her own anymore... there had been too many doubts and hellish sights cast into her stargazers... she no longer knew how to navigate them. So, with her hoarse voice, hardly above a whisper, she called out for her savior.
Someone who could fight away that dreadful darkness and reflect the light back onto her eyes.
Vladya.
