The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

I don't know how Cade spends her time away from the pack lands but really it's none of my concern. Maybe she's off cavorting and looking for a good time or a quick mate. The second one kind of bothers me but I have no claim on her so my opinion doesn't really matter. Okay, so I feel a little possessive over the alpha female. I first met her when she was just a teen, though a confident teen. She escorted me to the borders of this pack and then she ended up being the one to invite me in because her mother never showed. She is...intriguing. She trots into the clearing finally, though her eyes damper some when she sees Seline. I tilt my head, trying to read all the emotions crossing that delicate face but she's quick to put a wall up to block them from being seen. Im sure in some way she misses her mother and is glad that she's back but on the other hand, what will that do to her claim on the throne? When Seline disappeared, Cade took over and she doesn't look like she'd be too willing to give it back up. Maybe Seline's not here for the throne. Maybe she'll be content to stay under her own daughter's rule. They're such a proud family; who knows where it'll go from here. Cade lets her eyes travel to everyone else, though they pause when she looks at me. I find myself entranced momentarily by her eyes. She looks puzzled and then I remember that I'm pretty much sitting close enough to touch Seline, like I'm staking a claim on her or something, which in my possessive Viking nature, I kind of was. I feel myself stiffen, wondering how she'll react to this. I think before Seline showed up, Cade and I were growing kind of close. Will she be jealous or will it mean nothing to her? Maybe she never felt attached or anything in the first place. Maybe I'm the only possessive one. I latch onto her gaze, my own unreadable but for a moment, there's that pull. She looks away though and I force my own gaze away, not wanting to seem creepy or something. She steps closer to Quirino and whispers something. If I was interested, I would listen and probably hear it easily but the red male means nothing more to me than a higher ranked wolf. I could care less about his relationship with his sister. When she speaks up though, she makes a statement. Her tail draws up as does her head and she introduces herself as the queen. I'm proud of her in this moment, the corner of my lip quirking up to show it as my icy gaze gleams with triumph. I can't help but glance sideways at Seline, wondering at her reaction. Quirino pretty much goes unnoticed until he reaches out to Seline. I stiffen a little protectively but he only nudges his mother under the chin submissively, letting her know that he missed her and respects her. His face is pretty much unreadable, not that I care to try anyway. Meanwhile Seline is giving most of her attention to Nemo. I'm not sure I'm okay with this. Sure, the boy is a little strange but why does he merit such attention? She have a thing for younger guys or something? She tells him that he can speak. A young male that I haven't been paying attention to suddenly opens his yap, greeting everyone and calling himself Mezic. What kind of name is Mezic? Sounds like something I would name my pet pig. I shrug it off and turn my attention away until Seline speaks up, welcoming him. The corner of my lip twitches but then she suddenly moves closer to me, our fur brushing and it feels electric. My blood start really pumping and I glance sideways at her mysteriously. What's she trying to pull? I don't know but my body's willing to finish it any time. When Cade enters, I watch Seline's expression but she doesn't give anything away. She only looks happy to see her daughter. When Cade raises her tail, Seline doesn't move, though I catch an air of hesitation for a moment as if she entertained the idea of stepping forward. That sounds about like it. My eyes gleam again. Women. I turn my attention back to the younger male beside me as he looks up at me. I can see his jaw visibly tightening and my tail flicks. Must have struck a chord somewhere. Good. He starts to talk but that damn male named Music or Mestic or something cuts him off. I almost glare at the male but I close my eyes instead, heaving a sigh of patience. He starts looking from Cade to Seline, sure to make the connection. I raise a brow in amusement. I snap back to him when he speaks up, calling himself Nemo for Seline's ears. Again, pride swells in me. Good boy. He's polite, almost too much so. My brow furrow for a moment before my face turns smooth as glass once more. In time.
