Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It had all mostly passed in a blur. Their reunion, their words, their touch, their thoughts. It felt as if they were one, and yet seperate. Sen was unfamiliar with such a thing, as none had ever caught him quite like Hush did- but caught him, nonetheless. But he also knew something that she did not. He was completely and utterly unfamilar with motherhood, but something told him the time was near. And so with a quiet, breathy goodbye, he had slunk away in the night in order to help her, in the best way he could. It was when he was trotting back to where he left her, with two fat hares hanging from his jaw, that Sen scented blood. A lot of blood. Hush's blood.

Without even thinking, and keeping his catch firm in his jaw- he bolted the rest of the way. Her scent led him to a den, and within he could hear faint whimpers- both from his beloved redhead, and from the children she had just brought into this world. He hesitated very briefly at the thought of entering the den, but quickly made up his mind as he disappeared from the outside world. He would be damned if he wasn't by her side. He was relieved, and yet not to find that there was one pup present, and more seemed to be on the way. Dropping his gift for her off to the side, he delicately picked his way around her, his pale fourm glowing gently in the dim lighting of the den, before leaning down to run his tongue gently against the scruff of her neck. He did not speak, but instead whined softly to her, letting her know that he was here, and that he would not go anywhere less it was asked of him.

She seemed in immense pain, and he ached to help her more. While he was actually learned in some of the healing arts, he had no experience whatsoever when it came to motherhood. But pain.. perhaps he could help with the pain. But he did not want to leave her, and thus he was torn. He decided upon waiting until she was perhaps coherent enough to excuse himself- he wouldn't leave her the way she was not. Beside, to think if some stranger, or worse, came wandering along while she was alone. He shuddered at the simple thought and bit back a growl. And the blood- he had scented her with ease from where he had, and the thought worried him. Then he came upon a subtle and perhaps somewhat helpful idea.

Waiting until it seemed that the last pup was brought into the world, the third, he moved from his spot just behind and beside her to come around to Hush's back side. Using his pale, lovely muzzle, he quickly shoveled lose dirt on any blood stain his intense violet irises could find, hoping to at least diminish the scent of the blood somewhat. It may, or may not have helped- but it was at least something. When he was satisfied, he went to fetch the hares he had caught earlier, before returning to his spot just behind and beside Hush. Making sure to lean against her when he laid down with her, he kept the meat close at paw in case she stirred and wanted any, but in the mean time, buried his slender muzzle in the fur of her neck. He only hoped she would be okay, and perhaps well enough to talk to him soon. He wanted to help, and wanted to ask what he could do. And he also wanted to tell her how much he loved her.
