At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

ooc; just have lucas get his attention as he's about to head down the path, or when he's already on the path or something like that :3

ic; Days continued to pass, all the while the thought of his son being held prisoner was threatening to drive him mad. It had gotten to the point that Titan could no longer lay up on that cliff and wait. He wasn't even sure at this point what he could do, but he had to figure out something. He couldn't allow Hachiko to sit on death row. And possibly being tortured; if this 'Clan Sanguinem' was as similar to Demonica as Titan had heard, then it was a sure thing. The fact that his family was slaughtered in the name of 'taking out a Demonica territory' made Blood Titan hate himself more, as if that were possible. The kicker was that at the last meeting he'd went to, the reason it had taken so many more days than normal was because he was renouncing his title in Demonica. It took a lot of negotiations to work it out, and by the end of it he had not only been ripped of the title 'prince' but completely of his heritage rights. Of course by blood he would always be from Demonica, but in the eyes of Demonica's High Council, he was dead. So this Clan's “strike against Demonica” hadn't even been against a Demonican wolf. Hell, it hadn't even been his territory at the time. They killed his family because of outdated sources, and because of a heritage that he was no longer entitled to. What a fuckin' laugh.

If he had still been allowed ties in Demonica, he would have called in help and gotten Hachi the moment he'd found out about him being held. However, with that option not available, Titan had been stuck. Truth be told, he was still stuck, but now that he wasn't up in the mountains anymore, he figured he might as well find out all he could about what was going on in Aurora. He knew he couldn't get too close... the second he was spotted near the area was the second that he lost the last child he had. With Akina gone, it was the last child he would ever have. His kids were too important to risk making a stupid compulsive move, which wouldn't be too far a stretch for the male. No, he had to be smart about it this time. He decided the first place he would go was going to be back to Pilatus' body. On his way there, he was passing near a familiar place and decided to take a detour. Along the path he noticed some tall, pink flowers and he grabbed a few of them at the stems. His quick moving paws had him at Sacred Stones in a short time. Titan worked his ways past the tall, towering stones without much thought towards them. It wasn't until he found himself at a smaller stone that he stopped and looked. It wasn't just another of the standing stones, for him and Akina it was a grave marker. Titan didn't make frequent stops here, and when he did it was to check on it, keep it protected from scavengers, and make sure the site hadn't been disturbed or messed with. Like now, he would sometimes grab a few flowers to bring and leave at the place. Some would think, that because he didn't come by often and only to check in, that he didn't care much about the deceased pup that was buried in that spot of earth, but anyone that actually knew Titan would know better. He had always shown his affection most prominently in how he protected those he loved. If you were considered a loved on, then he was one of the most protective wolves you could ask for.

At least when he was around.

After laying the flowers down in front of the stone, he stood watching for a few moments before dipping his skull and turning around towards the path. Titan had noticed what seemed to be a faint remainder of Akina's scent while he'd been there, but he didn't think much of it. While he'd been hiding away up in the mountains there were more than a couple occasions that he'd thought he could smell her too. The first time had been so clear in his nostrils that he could have swore she were up there with him. He only tried following it the scent first two or three times. After that he accepted it as the devastatingly cruel mind trick it was. He continued on from Sacred Stones back to the place where that she-wolf had shown him Pilatus' body. His ears fell back at the site. It was hardly recognizable as the boy anymore, as it had been left to decompose in a place where scavengers were unlikely to find and feed off it. Though the stench of death would bother the nose of some wolves, Titan had been around death enough to not be phased by the odor, although it was admittedly more difficult to stomach when it was mixed so heavily with a wolf he'd cared about. He sniffed more closely to the body, taking in any fragrance he could. Most of the scents not belonging to Pilatus were faint and harder to separate from each other. After a while he determined that there were three scents there that he didn't recognized, he assumed they must belong to the attackers. The only other scents here were his and the she-wolf who'd brought him here so long ago.

The crimson and black wolf stayed until he was completely unable to pick up anything else. It wasn't a lot to go with, but at least now he had a few scents to match with the attackers if... when he found them. So now where? The most important information he needed now was to gather all the knowledge of Aurora Borealis' current state as he could. He couldn't risk getting close to the land itself, so he thought of asking around. He began visiting a few nearby places he knew were popular with wolves; Staircase Falls, Blossom Field, even back around the base of the Mountain. None of the wolves he asked were members of the pack so no one knew much. It wasn't too surprising that word wasn't around... if Demonica wanted to do a silent take over of a pack then no one outside of the pack would know anything, either. The fourth wolf he asked didn't have anything helpful to say, but she seem to know a little more than most.

“Do you know anything about the attack that happened at Aurora Borealis pack?”

“No, I hadn't heard about that. Is that why they got the new alpha?”

“New alpha? What, after Sin?”

“Oh yes, Sin died. I hadn't heard why so I guess an attack of some sort would explain it. That's scary, I hope other packs won't be involved...”

He tried asking a few others but no one seemed to know anything beyond hearing rumors that there was a new alpha and rumors that the past alpha had died, and that was enough to confirm even further Titan's understanding of what had happened. He would have thought that getting out and being active would make him feel a little better, but to be honest he felt just as lousy as when he'd been practically catatonic up in the mountain. Being out and about and investigating as he was, it was only confirming further and further that his family was gone and never returning. The fact that he still had a son out there, it was really the only thing pushing him on right then. If not for the chance to rescue Hachiko, Titan would most certainly still be up on that cliff. He sighed... with not much luck around this part of Blossom Forest, he figured the next best place to find wolves to question would be Leisure Lake. That might even prove to be a more efficient location as it was easily one of the most frequented locations in the land.

He was making good time traveling towards the lake, about five minutes away, when a scent hit him that made him come to a complete stop. At first the only scent he had noticed was freshly spilled blood, and that alone wouldn't have caused him to pause in his travels. It was the scent of Hachiko that stopped him. It only took him a few moments of sniffing around the scene to piece together most of the details he needed. There were four scents besides his son's, and they were all similar to the three he had smelled in the clearing with Pilatus' body. A couple might have even been the same. His fur bristled and a low rumbling sounded in his throat. The blood wasn't only Hachi's, but it was all fresh. His best guess was they were moving him to another location and he must have tried to fight back. Under different circumstances that would have been a proud moment for Titan... his family were definitely fighters through and through. Any that lacked the physical ability were tough as nails mentally. In fact, he and Akina were at completely opposite ends in that spectrum, which would place their kids somewhere in the middle... the thought of his other kids made his chest feel heavy and he brought his concentration back to the scene before him. He focused all of his smelling sense onto Hachi's scent and tracked it, eventually ending up at the lake. He began sniffing at the entrance of each pathway that lead away from the lake, searching for whichever one would take him to his son. When he found it, he immediately recognized it was the path that most wolves took to get to Saw Tooth. He was confused... either the Saw Tooth pack was in on it, or maybe the clan was getting ready to attack there? Facing down the trail, Titan knew he would only figure it out as soon as he got there.
