Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I'm Gonna Hide My Wings

I'm gonna hide my wings tonight

I stare up at him, my tail waving with the hope that I have finally found a home, and as he speaks, that hope grows. My white ears tilt forward and I am finding a small smile playing on my face, though I am still a little afraid of the large silver brindle male. I have never been before someone like this, I have never had to bow to an alpha before. It is all so new and I am unsure in this situation. But he asked a question I think. My tail waves as he mentions healing and I am excitedly wiggling with the force of my tail wagging. "I would love to learn healing! It would be most fantastic to understand herbs and stuff and healing people and taking care of people when they take care of me...That would be awesome." I rolled as I spoke, putting my legs above me and wiggling around on my back, submitting in the happiest manner. This is when the other wolf showed up, Rhoedias. She comforted me and made me feel better, like a mother. Something else catches my attention, and I let a big smile cross my face as I politely look up at the dark queen.

I look at the young pup, my head tilting as he sits between the alpha's legs. I didn't think anyone could just come and plop themselves between his font legs, but he does seem out of it. I wave my tail in a happier manner before I hear my name called by a very familiar voice. "Mortz!" I screeched happily and was on my paws, bounding at him as he did at me, and I giggle. "You didn't have to come back for me, I found you eventually. Boy, what an epic game of hide and seek!" I giggle again and wave my tail, glad to at least have someone familiar to me around here. I nip at him playfully as he apologizes and explains my story. Looking to the female who he explains to, my head tilting. Is this the mom he had been talking about? I turn my attention back to Silvertongue, still a weird name, and I smile and dip my head. "Thank you for the home, Mister Silvertongue. I will be the best healer ever!" And with that I nip at Mortz again, giggling and bounding off a bit, ready to explore my new home.
