Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

His occasional body contact has Rhae melting all around him. Her soul, her mind, her body- all of it simply quivers at the mere contact he gives her, occasionally brushing up against her. She returns the favour in leaning ever so gently back against him, allowing them to, indeed, walk as one for those precious few moments. When he's speaking, his voice is soothing, a comfort and security to her senses. She craves for more of it, and so listens intently whenever his words come forth. Nodding her rather large and multihued skull down once, she acknowledges his offering before he's then speaking again, telling her more than she could have ever asked for. After he finishes, bright teal continue their constant gaze on him. Rhae must occasionally glance away in order to keep her footing, and to not run clumsily into anything- but other than those few moments, her gaze, as well as attention, is solely on Iblis, and Iblis alone. His last few words has her shaking her head, before reaching over to bury her muzzle deep within the fur of his ruff for a moment. They are still walking together, as one- but she still manages.

"You will never be alone, Iblis. You will never be better off without your other half." Such intense, serious things were common in Rhae's life, but never quite of this spectrum. Love had never been something graced upon her, let alone this imprinting business- which she still had no idea about, simply that she was drawn and tied to the wolf before her for the rest of eternity- for the rest of her life. "And neither will I." Every word spoken makes her ache to be close to him again- but that must wait until after they have accomplished what they set off to do. After what they accomplish what they will together, as one. She had been quite aware of the scent of the mule deer they were approaching, and as they drew nearer, thick and graceful muscles tenses, working their way toward preparation as she was more than eager to take down anything, so long as it was with him. Iblis. Her dark knight. Her partner. Her soul. He's moving off to the right, and just like that, they come into sight. Five doe, three fawn.

All five doe seemed healthy and uninjured under the observant gaze of Rhae. That could pose a problem for them, but then there were the three fawn to consider. Just for the two of them, though, one of the young would be just enough. Glancing down at her Iblis, she takes in his sly smile and his patient waiting- she knew what he did, what of the doe and the fawn- and she also knew he was awaiting her charge to take the reign. To be it. With one last parting caress with her warm nose against his cheek, she turned her full attention back to the task on hand; their hunt. Watching and waiting patiently, as was any experienced hunters finesse, she waited for the pristine moment. There- a doe and her fawn had wandered just enough away from the others that it gave them their chance. It was now, or never. With speed built of practice and of her large muscles coiled beneath her flesh, Rhae launched herself into action. She had not spoken her intention to him, but she hoped he followed his lead and knew what she had in mind.

While it was typical for a predator to go straight for their prey, honing in on them and none other, Rhae instead was headed directly toward the larger doe, but off to the left, hoping to cut off her direct route back to the small herd. Hoping that she was infact on time with her decision, she would circle around to tease and taunt the mother, but with a simple glance toward Iblis, hoped he would see his opportunity to dance in and snatch their actual prize- the doe's fawn. She figured with her larger bulk and brawn, she could keep the Mother busy while Iblis would be able to slip his way in almost unnoticed to take down their meal ticket. By then, her tongue was lolling out of the side of her jaw as she continued her antics, occasionally dashing in to snap fierce jaws at the doe's heels, but always making sure to be well out of the way of those sharp, deadly hooves. An injury now would not be very efficent, nor gratifying. If Iblis had done as she expected, the moment he had brought the fawn down she would be there beside him, readily grasping upon their prize with an iorn grip and dragging the small thing away. Which, would be rather easy if the two of them worked at it together. But teal was ever watchful for the Mother who could just come back with a vengence. Rhae knew she had tired the doe out, but it could still be liable to come after them after taking its child.

If Iblis had not taken his opportunity, though, then after she had worked the doe, she herself would dash in to make the kill. Regardless of which occured, she hoped to have the fawn down quickly enough, so that the pair could retreat to safety with their well wearned meal. If they were successful, or even not- she would still come up to the side of him, bumping her forehead against the side of his neck in an affectionate gesture. They had still taken part in their first hunt together, something that, to her, sealed their bond forever, regardless of what sort of bond it actually was. Perhaps in time she would learn all there was to know about what had unfolded between them- her, a larger of stature creme and cinnamon wolf, and he, a smaller, multi toned golden eyed wolf. She would be more than eager to learn of it all, but for now, she was more than content to have him with her, to have him beside her- and to never let him go anywhere, just as she would not be going anywhere. Speaking softly to him, she kept her gentle and bright teal gaze on him, wondering what was going on in his mind just then. "I am glad to have found you, Iblis. And I am glad to have you find me." For while she had approached him, she felt it was quite true that they had simply discovered one another, as Fate was bound to have them.
