News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

Ishtar sure takes her time getting to me. This only has me aching for action more, the battle blood that runs through my veins growing hotter by the second, my pacing setting my nerves on fire. Finally I see her form trotting into view and I stop my pacing only to speak. I know from her talk with Isola that she has a thing for staying silent, letting the one who summoned her be the first to speak. That's okay cause I don't mind initiating this talk. My eyes narrow when she smirks. Does she find somethign humorous with what I said? I found nothing funny about it at all. I pay no attention to her raised tail. This may be her lands but I am an equal, a king and I will not lower my head to her in submission, though I'm not saying that is her goal. She is probably just showing off her pride in her pack and her rank, though I see nothing to be proud of in such a sad desolute place. This is probably a demon's paradise though. She speaks out my name first to which I only give tight lipped silence. I feel no need to confirm her suspicions. That should be enough to tell her that she's correct. If she were wondering at me being here alone, she shouldn't have to wonder long. Surely it's not a secret that Isola just gave birth and any good mate wouldn't want his weakened counter part coming along on such a mission which could endanger her. How was I to know how Ishtar and her pack would react to my message? Last time violence was incited when Azrael's imprint was taken. I wasn't about to have Isola that close to gnashing teeth if it came down to it. If she were wondering about anyone else coming, I left the invitation open though no one is expecting punishment for not coming along. I think Azrael is out taking care of other matters in the free lands, some mission given to him by Heyel about taking out a high priority danger to the pack. I didn't ask. As long as it keeps my family and pack safe.

It's almost like she's looking for someone else but she'll be sadly mistaken. I came alone. My brow quirks up when she calls it a small matter. Taking another pack's wolf is a small matter? In what reality? I'm sure she wouldn't think it so if one of her own precious wolves went missing and ended up in Diveen. My lips tighten more in irritation. She starts telling me now that Katsumi was never over the borders and that she was to be sent home as soon as she was well. What does she mean? Was Katsumi not well? Sarin said nothing about her being ill to me or Isola. Why wouldn't he know that she was no well and if she was indeed ill, then why would she be wandering outside of the pack? She knows there are plenty of healers in the pack. I keep all this from showing, my face a smooth glass of consideration, nothing more. I want her to know that I am open minded, though I have reason to doubt her words. We have no trust between our packs for good reason. My worries are not subsided when she points out that her own son was the wolf to bring her here. No telling what he could have done to her. It's no secret that the demons want every wolf from Heyel's bloodline and pack dead. Her next words throw me off guard, a single ear flicking back at this new set of information. Imprint? Katsumi has an imprint? Here, of all places? I let it sink in, my face still a glass of mystery. I'm sure a part of Ishtar is aching to see the surprise on my face, knowing that she knew something I didn't. Even if she's not that petty, I won't give her that satisfaction. I fully intend to take it up with Katsumi within the privacy of our pack.

She then says that another wolf took her first. Sarin, I'm guessing? Did he go on a solo mission even though Isola promised him that we would get her? Maybe I'll have to have a word with both. I wonder if Sarin knows about her imprint. I meet her gaze squarely.

"A messenger should have been sent the moment she was within sight of your borders. That would have deemed this misunderstanding, if that is indeed what this is, unnecessary. With the stormy past that our packs seem to have, that would have been wise."

She may call it a lecture or me telling her how to do her job. Even so, a part of her will have to know that what I speak is indeed something that should have crossed her mind the moment she knew about Katsumi. She may consider that she's not giving me a lot of information about who exactly is Katsumi's imprint but she should know that I can make an educated guess. She told me that her son was the one that brought her here. Wouldn't it be wise to assume that her son is the one who worried for her when she went ill and brought her somewhere he would deem safe? I may not even know which son. I'm sure either way Isola will be troubled to learn this. I'm sure Ishtar isn't feeling all roses and posies when it comes to me but frankly, I don't give a damn. She allowed this to happen, including my accusations. If she had told us sooner what happened, this wouldn't have happened and there wouldn't have been a pissed off mate in our pack.

I flick both ears back when I suddenly hear someone running up behind me. Could it be a trap? I snap my head around immediately, my stiff form relaxing when I recognize Katsumi. What is she doing here? My brow quirks up in puzzlement. My ears prick at her sudden outburst. I guess she's going to confirm Ishtar's statement then. She looks a little surprised by her own outburst. Good thing for her, I'm not so quick to anger as my father before me. She starts explaining a bit more then, defending the male who took her and confirming my suspicions that it was indeed Ishtar's son who imprinted on her. I can think of no other reason for an Iromar wolf to take her to the pack in fear for her life. Watching her face, I can see her own confusion over what she's saying. Seems someone hasn't come to grips with the fact that she's been imprinted on. She tells me that he let her leave and that she's already forgiven him, begging me not to blame him. I watch her carefully for a few moments. I will not speak my mind as I want to in front of Ishtar. What we will discuss is none of her concern. Instead, I nod to let her know I understand before turning back to Ishtar.

"So it would seem we have a misunderstanding. Let your wolf know that Diveen thanks him for the life of Katsumi and her pups. I ask that next time anything like this happens, you send someone to let us know right away. You have my apologies for the accusations, Ishtar."

With those last words, I do something my father would never do, apologize for his mistakes. He never regrets anything, never apologizes. His pride is too great. Mine however, is pliable. I bow my head to her as I apologize, showing respect before I turn on my heels toward Diveen. My eyes find Katsumi.

"Escort me home?"

The message in my eyes is for her and her alone. We have much to discuss when we get back to Diveen.

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
