It was going quite well despite the fact that everyone in the meeting seemed on edge. You would think their mother never mouthed them when they were pups? My little display of dominance was mild yet they all bristled. Yet that did not get to me as much as the fact that they had little idea about what to do. They did not have stability and I planned on delivering on such a task. They were a motley bunch, all varying degrees of talent and ages, and already I knew I had my paws full. I would need all the help I could get so I was not going to turn down a fully capable wolf. I called and he had answered. He submitted therefore he was a part of this pack end of story. The day started out well enough, my large paws carrying me across the land after finishing marking the borders for the day. I made sure that my scent was strong, upon my pack mates and the land. That way it is not a surprise and no one can claim that they “stumbled” upon my land. I was not the type to listen when threatened and in all likely hood I will attack any intruder before asking questions in the future. I was a knight and it was my duty, this pack my family, one that I will guard with my life. Leaping over a sun bleached rock I tread lightly, not too far from the sea. A few tree paces to the left and my paws will meet sand but that is not my destination today. No, at the moment I trailed the scent of one of my newest males. I picture his light form and bright eyes in my head, his scent wafting upon the air and instantly I know that he is close. Speeding up, I am not surprised to see him, he pace carefree as he looks about. Now what could he be searching for? ”Aether is it?” I call out to him, my deep tones light. I only call out to alert him to my presence, not like my large form could be silent, but you never knew these days especially with large “angels” coming up soft pawed. How they did it I do not know but I did not agree. I preferred a good out brawl. That always settled things. ”Good day is it? Learning the land well I presume?” By then I am beside him yet you could place a large fox between us. I was not touching him, giving him his space. I glance over him, my milky eye swirling as if sight still existed within its depths. ”You seem strong enough, tell me why you seek pack life? What brings you to my lands?” I continue walking, inviting him to a leisure stroll as we spoke. I only wanted to know about his past and what motivated him. I needed to know the strengths and weaknesses of each member under my rule or how else could I effectively rule them?
