Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He waited fairly patiently at the end of the tunnel, strange black eyes risen towards the sky a moment as the clouds that passed overhead, his ever curious mind inclined to consider the possibility that perhaps they were some form of…heavy air, like smoke and yet, the lack of general smokiness about them spoke otherwise. Clearly they grey clouds held moisture, yet the soft white ones apparently held nothing and indeed he finds himself, within moments, enraptured by the possibility of different types of clouds as the glorious golden male is given to frown slightly once more before his head returned to earth, as it were. For a moment the boy allowed his ears to fold backwards, something of an acknowledgement of Silvertounge’s rank before they pricked forward once more to capture the words offered from within the tunnel. After all, Pan is used to more subtle shows of submission, he is also used to Alphas who have been related to him or those he has known for some time. So far only Sulan and SIlvertounge himself are wolves of entirely unknown origin to the gorgeous boy of copper and gold and perhaps too, this adds to his….displeasure. He dislikes not knowing. He continues to wait a few moments longer for Silvertoune to actually realise Pan is standing outside, the Alpha male clearly having gotten lost within his own den if he is yet to have learned exactly how to exit it, some form of contemplation moving across the young males features at how best to solve this obvious difficulty before the silvery male himself emerged causing Pan’s ears to lay back briefly once more before something of a grin touched his features and he spoke, hardly waiting for Silver to get a word in edgewise..

“Do you realise your response time could be extrapolated to something ranging between three and five seconds if, perhaps, you practiced exiting your den more often? It’ nothing to be ashamed of, a new den often has a different entrance to an old one and quite frequently I witness wolves showing confusion in that regard. Also, the left side of your den is structurally weaker then the right, if we were to build some sort of second entrance it would have to be on the right side otherwise I fear it would collapse. It is the air here, it is thick with salt a moisture and it weakens structural integrity.”

The words come from seemingly nowhere and indeed, as always, they are spoken in such a manner that would almost seem to imply, that one way or another, Pan is referring to Silvertounge as some sort of idiot who cannot get out of his own den. He isn’t, not at all, he genuinely believes Silver to require assistance and is, truly, attempting to offer him a solution based on factual evidence, whether or not the male understands is another thing entirely though indeed the young male grins once more, the look a beautiful beaming thing for indeed, only now coming into his prime, the son of Wild Justice has truly begun to show how entirely lovely in looks he is, not that he has any care for such things. Silver’s words draw his attention once more, his features returning to something of wary disdain at the words the Alpha offers. Did he know why Silver had summoned him? He snorted.

“That is an open-ended question that quite honestly could have so many possible answers it would hardly be worth my time to continue to fathom it, it is also highly possible you could be delving into the realm of sarcasm. If however, you do require something of an answer, based on your tone of voice and previous encounters between us, plus my own experience with meetings with past Alpha’s I can only presume you either have a task for me to complete, you want advice or you wish to discuss my attitude.”

His ‘attitude’ had never been a problem with Bahamut or his brothers or even Sulan truly though that male had been somewhat inclined to think as Silver surely did, to entirely misunderstand who and what Pan is. It was Weylin though, who had truly been surprising in the end, Weylin, whom had always listened to him, always had Pan at his side…..and whom all but dismissed him entirely when he tried so desperately to change his Brothers mind. Weylin had been wrong. He should have listened and maybe……maybe he wouldn’t be dead now if he had, maybe Pan wouldn’t resent him so much for leaving him alone with nobody. Weylin should have taken his advice, just that one time. Silver began to move, asking Pan to join him on a stroll, one eye lifting slightly at his choice of words. A stroll was a bit…feminine wasn’t it? Oh well. He merely stepped forward, moving to walk beside the other male as he spoke once more.

“Silvertongue, your question is incorrectly stated, do you wish to know of my goals within the pack, my goals personally or have me list my previous achievements under other Alpha’s?”

Well what did he expect? Pan is highly analytical and has a fixation on the spoken word, indeed it can be a frustrating thing and yet, there a few whom have such a talent for making deals. He frowned slightly, obsidian eyes turning back towards Silvertounge. Perhaps he should just answer them all and sate Silver’s curiosity.

“Here, within Glorall, I plan to finally have the pack running as it should be as I can only hope you plan on remaining as Alpha and providing the stability to allow me to do that. I plan for Glorall to actually have a secure alliance with at least one other pack, which, I would love to discuss as I have a number of ideas. I plan to be returned to my position within the rankings as I have never been anything less then that and I plan to outlive the curse that seems to have been inflicted upon my family, though indeed I very much doubt the existence of curses, I merely aim to actually live longer then the rest of my fifteen siblings did, plus my adopted family. As for my achievements, they are numerous, it depends which one you want to hear about. I did build that though.”

The powerful male paused, rippling muscle easing as he nodded towards the bridge that joined the mainland and island, a work of driftwood and sticks, rocks and mud that had been piled up to form the bridge while still allowing the water to flow through the lower parts. He’d spent days pushing rocks and sicks about in the water to complete that.

“It allows puppies to travel to the island without getting washed away, it also allowed for Jaye, when she lived still, to cross in safety. She was blind you see and it acted as a marker for her. It also significantly reduced our loss in puppy numbers and really given the birth rate in Glorall compared to other packs we cannot afford to lose any more children.

Yes. Pan built a bridge. All on his own, because there never has and never will, be a boy quite like him.
