PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

the thoughts in my head, they are blue

Oh my blood may run red but the thoughts in my head, they are blue.
Oh my blood may run red but the thoughts in my head, they are blue. They are purple. They are gold. And though there may come a day where my hair it turns grey, but my soul, oh, my soul, will never grow old. See Ifm not skin and bones. I am sunshine and snow on this ever]changing earth that we know. Ifll melt into a stream. I will glisten and gleam. Ifll float on but Ifll never grow old. Ifll float on but Ifll never grow old. --

Morena has never wanted for anything. Her brother was a welcome addition to their family and though he always had a bit of an independent streak, Morena and Vodnik were always there for each other. Though the difference in their age and gender set them apart, there was a kinship there, and Morena feels betrayed at his disappearance. Realistically, she knew there would be a day when their lives pointed them down separate paths. She just hoped the day wouldn't come so soon.

Though, in a way, Vodnik's leaving is a good thing. It might hurt now, but with Vodnik here, Morena was hard pressed to get out and meet any others dwelling on the mountainside. Morena and Vodnik stuck together, and together they hung in a sort of limbo, trying to overcome the shock of what just happened to them. Now that Vodnik is gone, Morena is open to meeting new faces and ending the loneliness that has become her life.

The sight of this strange mare is a refreshing one. Her gentile voice and kind face do wonders at coaxing a smile from Morena. "I know." She replies. "I just miss my brother. He left for bigger and better things, I'm sure. I should be happy for him." Morena tries to explain away her sadness. She doesn't want to give the first impression that she's weepy all the time. This is really not like Morena. Recent events have just swung her usually cheerful mood to something darker.

Though the event of this morning cannot be forgotten so quickly and the emptiness in her chest cannot be filled today, Morena does her best to use this mare as a distraction. "Do you live here too? I'm sorry, I'm still relatively new here."

Well hey, my story sounds the same but Ifll find some way to show you what lifefs all about. Oh we could take a walk downtown. No, lets search for higher ground. Wefll count the stars, and clouds and howl at the moon. I hear the rich folks come here too, causef itfs such a lovely view and when the sun decides to rise itfll be too soon. ------------------
